*Victoria’s POV* The remainder of our meal was filled with awkward silence. I kept glancing at Xavier, worried about how he was feeling. I knew that he would never be angry with me, but I still didn’t want to push him by asking him further. I squinted my eyes at my father and brother for having brought up such a topic at the dinner table. I sighed, realizing that it would have affected him the same regardless of where they would have asked him. I stopped eating my food because it was making me nauseous.
