It slipped out, I swear. But the moment that I said that, he stopped, pulling me towards him.
“What was that?” He asked with a smile, making me look to the side in embarrassment. “Don’t do that.” He whispered as he grabbed my chin. “I don’t want you to ever feel like you need to hide from me.”
I gulped, looking back at him as my heart beat quicker. Every day it was becoming harder to ignore my feelings. That, and Edric was completely different than my former alpha. That despicable of a wolf. My Edric was sweet, patient, loving. He was perfect and it was becoming harder for my wolf and I to stay away. Yes, we were scared, but we trusted our mate.
He had so many opportunities to take advantage of us, but he never did.
