~~~ Xander POV~~~ Xander paced back and forth in his office, his frustration simmering just beneath the surface. The search of the omega quarters had yielded nothing, leaving him with more questions than answers. How could there be no trace of whatever had caused him to see Alexa in his shower? It didn't make sense. Running a hand through his hair in frustration, Xander tried to calm the storm of emotions swirling inside him. He couldn't afford to lose control, not now. There was too much at stake, and he needed to stay focused if he was going to get to the bottom of this. Sighing heavily, Xander leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes, willing himself to think clearly. He couldn't let his anger cloud his judgment. He needed to approach this with a level head if he was going to find out what was really going on. Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Tony stepped into the room, his expression serious. "Xander, we need to talk." Xander waved him in, his curiosity piqued. "What's on your mind, Tony?" Tony took a seat opposite him, his gaze steady. "I've been thinking about yesterday's search of the omega quarters. Something doesn't add up, and I can't shake the feeling that there's more to it than meets the eye." Xander nodded, his frustration bubbling to the surface once again. "I know what you mean. I can't believe we came up empty-handed. There has to be something we're missing." Tony frowned, leaning forward slightly. "I agree, but I also think we need to consider the possibility that there might be more going on than we realize. What if this is just the beginning of something bigger?" Xander's jaw clenched at the thought, his mind racing with possibilities. "You think someone in the pack is behind this?" Tony shrugged, his expression grim. "It's possible. We've had our fair share of troublemakers in the past, and it wouldn't be the first time someone tried to cause discord within the pack." Xander nodded thoughtfully, his mind whirring with the implications. If someone was trying to sabotage the pack, they needed to find out who it was and put a stop to it before it was too late. But first, they needed more information. "Alright," Xander said, determination shining in his eyes. "Let's start digging. We need to find out who's behind this and put a stop to it before it's too late." Xander and Tony poured over the list of items found during the search of the omega quarters, their brows furrowed in concentration as they searched for any clue that might shed light on the situation. "Look at this," Tony said, pointing to a particularly long list of items. "Most of these are just everyday household items. But there are a few things here that stand out." Xander leaned in closer, scanning the list with a critical eye. "Like what?" Tony tapped his finger against a line item. "This one, for example. 'Small vial of unknown liquid.' It was found hidden in the back of one of the cupboards." Xander's interest was piqued. "Unknown liquid? That's definitely suspicious. Have we had it analyzed?" Tony shook his head. "Not yet. But I think it's worth looking into. It could be nothing, but it could also be the key to unraveling this mystery." Xander nodded in agreement. "Alright, let's get it analyzed right away. And in the meantime, we'll keep digging. There has to be something else we're missing." Tony gave him a determined nod. "Agreed. We'll leave no stone unturned until we get to the bottom of this." With that, they set to work, determined to uncover the truth behind the strange occurrences in the packhouse. ~~~ As the memory of the previous night flooded back, Xander couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt. He had been so consumed by his frustration and anger that he had acted impulsively, without fully considering the consequences. He vividly remembered the mindlink he had sent to the head omega, his voice sharp with urgency as he gave his command. "Send a girl up to my room. Now." The memory made him cringe inwardly. He had been so desperate for release, so blinded by his need to escape the turmoil brewing inside him, that he hadn't stopped to think about the girl he had summoned. And now, she was paying the price for his recklessness. With a heavy sigh, Xander shook his head, pushing aside the guilt and focusing on the task at hand. He couldn't change what had happened, but he could make sure it didn't happen again. And that meant finding a way to control his impulses and temper, no matter how difficult it might be. Xander's mind churned with conflicting emotions as he waited in the dimly lit playroom, his gaze fixed on Alexa as she sat restrained in the corner. He couldn't shake the guilt gnawing at him, the knowledge that he was about to subject her to a punishment that he wasn't sure she deserved. But beneath the guilt, there was a simmering rage, a frustration that threatened to consume him. He needed an outlet for his pent-up emotions, a way to regain a sense of control in the chaos that surrounded him. And in his twisted logic, punishing Alexa seemed like the solution. She was his mate but couldn't give him what he needed. He had ordered her not to speak, not to utter a word of protest as he indulged in his desires with another woman. It was a cruel punishment, designed to both humiliate and punish her for reasons she couldn't comprehend. As the seconds stretched into minutes, Xander's resolve wavered. He knew what he was about to do was wrong, knew that it would only serve to deepen the divide between him and Alexa. But in that moment, he couldn't bring himself to stop. He was too consumed by his own pain, too blinded by his need for release. And so, with a heavy heart and a sense of resignation, Xander waited for the girl to be brought to him, knowing that once she arrived, there would be no turning back. The omega hesitated for a moment, her eyes darting nervously between Xander and Alexa in the corner. But the alpha's commanding tone brooked no argument, and with trembling hands, she began to disrobe. Xander watched with detached interest as the omega shed her clothes, revealing pale skin and delicate curves. It was a familiar sight, one he had witnessed countless times before, but this time, it felt different. This time, there was a knot of guilt and regret coiled tightly in his chest, threatening to suffocate him. As the omega stood before him, naked and vulnerable, Xander felt a surge of something akin to pity. Here was a woman willing to do whatever he asked, willing to degrade herself for his pleasure. And yet, he couldn't find it in himself to feel anything but hollow. "Come here," he commanded, his voice rough with emotion. The omega obeyed, stepping forward with cautious steps until she stood before him, her eyes downcast. For a moment, Xander considered sending her away, ending this charade before it had a chance to begin. But then he remembered Alexa, watching from the corner, her expression unreadable. And in that moment, he knew he couldn't stop. He had to see this through, had to punish her for the crime of being his mate.
