It doesn’t take long to have dinner set out. Everyone takes a seat around Jenna’s huge table. Jenna is sitting next to Brandon, with Toby in a booster chair next to his daddy. Sarah is next to Benton, and Roscoe is next to him. Sarah and Brandon’s parents are sitting at the right hand of the table. Then Jenna and Nate’s parents on the opposite side, Henley next to them, Nate and me. Baby Aaron is still fast asleep in his crib upstairs.
The whole thing is ridiculous. Although I’m used to big family gatherings, or I was when I was in contact with my family.
I have to admit I hate the fact Nate is sitting in between Henley and me. I don’t want her anywhere near Nate. My jealousy seems to be boiling over all through dinner.
