The Price of a Deal
(Kade’s POV)
I watched Audrina as she stared out the window, her expression a mixture of frustration and wariness. She was beautiful—striking, really—with those fierce green eyes that seemed to cut through any pretense. She was also stubborn as hell, unwilling to give an inch even when I was offering her something she needed.
It reminded me too much of a conversation that had taken place just a few weeks ago in her father’s study. A conversation that had set the stage for everything happening now.
