Declined
(Kade’s POV)
I stood at the terminal of Charles de Gaulle airport, staring at the phone in my hand as if it might suddenly light up with her name. But it didn’t. The call had gone through—each ring stretching on and on until it ended with an empty silence. And that was it. She hadn’t answered.
So he had tried again, but this time she didn’t let it ring through, she had ended the call.
Declines the call.
My call.
Declined.
I clenched my jaw, the anger simmering beneath the surface of my otherwise calm demeanor. Audrina had let my call go to voicemail. She hadn’t even bothered to text back. And for some unfathomable reason, that simple act sent a jolt of frustration through me that I hadn’t experienced in a long time.
I took a deep breath, forcing my shoulders
