Lizzy My dad and brother left after I told them what happened. They came back after a little over an hour, and my dad said it was time to go. I didn’t argue it. I didn’t want to be here anymore. I wanted to go home. Coming here had been a mistake. Following them out, Alex handed me his helmet so that I could ride on his bike with him. I was surprised. He never let anyone ride with him other than Clara. Not even me. Climbing on behind him, I relaxed a bit. Until we got closer to the apartment again to get my car. I tried not to let it bother me. I knew nothing would happen with my dad and brother here, but I still got slightly anxious. To my surprise, my car was packed full of my stuff. My mom and I climbed off the back of the bikes, Alex and my dad following us. Alex opened the passenger door for me so I could get in while my dad opened the driver’s door for my mom. Both Alex and I made gagging sounds when the two of them basically made out before dad let mom climb in the car. Both of them shaking their heads as they moved away from each other.  The ride back home was quiet. The only sound was from the radio and all the guy’s bikes from behind us. The farther away we got from there, the more relaxed I got. When we finally pulled into my parent’s driveway, I was relieved to be home. I was surprised Ink, and the big guy from The Spiked Eagles had come with us. They helped unload everything from my car taking all my stuff up to my room. I was going to thank them when they were done, but then Jax took off all of a sudden. All the guys but my dad followed him. I hoped everything was ok.  Once they were all gone, though, I headed up and took a nap before my mom made me go with her to the hospital to have some scans done to make sure there were no internal injuries. Thankfully there weren’t. Just a lot of bruising on the outside. All of which would heal over time. When we returned home, I messaged Summer, my best friend. Upon hearing I was back in town, she insisted on a girl’s night, and I was all for it. I missed her and wanted to forget about everything. She would know just what to do. It took her all of thirty minutes after I texted her, letting her know what happened and that I was home and she was walking into my room. In her hands was a large container of our favorite ice cream, a bottle of vodka, and a bag that held all our favorite bad romance movies and all kinds of junk food. Sitting everything down, she wrapped her arms around me. “What do you want to do first?” I laughed, “Ice cream and a movie for sure.” Letting me go, she nodded happily. “You sit. I will put the movie in.” Taking the ice cream with me, I climbed on my bed while she put in the first movie before joining me. We spent the rest of the night eating all the junk food and taking a few shots of the vodka she brought until we both passed out on my bed.  Groaning, I rolled over. My head hurt from the vodka. Summer was still fast asleep, her arm thrown over the top of me. I shook my head and moved her arm as I set up. She grumbled in her sleep but rolled over. I shook my head again. The girl could sleep through anything. I could bang pans over her head, and she would sleep through it. Slowly I made my way out of the room and into the bathroom to take a nice long shower. The water felt good and relaxing. When I was done, I went back to my room and began to clean up the mess the two of us made in my room. I didn’t think either of my parents was home until someone softly knocked on my door. “Come in.” My dad poked his head in, looking from Summer to me, then taking in the mess we had made that I hadn’t cleaned up yet. “Have a good night?” I nodded, “It was nice to have a girl's night.” A smile pulled at his lips. “You want some breakfast?” I nodded, “Only if you are cooking.” He laughed from behind him, I heard my mom sigh as she walked by. She was a good cook, and I had nothing against her cooking, but dad was definitely the better cook. Alex and I always requested dad to cook if we had a choice between the two. “What would you like?” I smiled, “Pancakes.” He nodded, “Pancakes it is.” Closing the door, he left me to finish cleaning. I couldn’t help but smile more. It was really nice to be back home. It was nice to be surrounded by my family. None of them are judging me for what happened or telling me what I did wrong. I already knew what I did wrong, and I was glad none of them rubbed it in my face. They simply showed up and were there for me.   By the time I got done cleaning up the mess and got downstairs, my dad was just finishing up cooking the pancakes. Taking my seat at the table, my dad set a plate with a couple of pancakes on it in front of me. “Thank you.” I smiled at him before getting to work on eating my pancakes. As always, they were delicious. And again, I was happy to be home. As I ate, Summer walked into the kitchen, joining us. My dad set a plate of pancakes in front of her as well. When he finished, he headed out. “You girls clean up before you leave.” Both of us nodded and finished our food. When we were done, we cleaned the kitchen back up. “Want to come to hang out at the bar with me? I am working today, but you can hang out.” I smiled, “yeah.” Summer’s parents let her take over the bar that once belonged to her grandpa and had been left to her mom, who didn’t really want it. The MC took it over for her running it until Summer’s birthday a few months ago when they signed it over to her. She loved it. She could flirt and talk to everyone that came in. Heading out, we stopped at her place so she could change real quick before going over to the bar, where the two of us spent the rest of the morning laughing with each other while we refilled the bottles before she opened for the afternoon.  ***six months later*** It took a few weeks after moving back to get everything switched over. It took some major convincing for the school to let me switch in the middle of the semester. Especially since my grades had dropped so much. But being back home and with my family and friends, it didn’t take me long to get my grades back to where they had been before everything with Connor. I also began to help Summer out at the bar. Mainly to get out of the house and hang out with my best friend. Also, to give my parents the house back to themselves a few nights a week. I knew they wouldn’t complain. I had moved back home, and they loved having me. But I also knew they had gotten used to having the place to themselves over the last few years after I moved out originally. At the same time, thinking about moving out of their house scared me slightly. I didn’t want to repeat what happened before. However, dating hadn’t even crossed my mind. No one had caught my attention that I wanted to even bother with. Besides which I was busy with school and helping Summer at the bar. I wasn’t much of a bartender, so I usually helped out running the fryer for her in the back. I was so totally fine with that. I enjoyed cooking, and we usually seemed busier on the days I cooked also. That could be because I refused to use the premade patties the guy that normally cooked used. Summer made sure there was enough money in the budget for me to make fresh burgers on the days I cooked. I didn’t like the taste of the premade patties and liked to make my own. And the guys in the MC seemed to always come in starting around lunchtime when I was here. I am sure they watched for my car to be out front, and then it was like the whole club came in to eat.
