Foul Play Suspected in Disappearance
of Sheriff Randy Frye And Son.
The search for Garfield County Sheriff Randy Frye and his son, Rex Frye, continues into its second week, but the Search and Rescue says the prospects of finding the missing man and his son are grim.
“We know he was on a weekend hunting trip with his boy, but we don’t know where. There’s a lot of ground to cover still, and the longer we search, the more likely it is we’ll never find him.”
Sheriff Frye’s truck was found concealed in a wooded valley near the Stentz Springs area Tuesday morning, fueling speculation that foul play was involved. The search for Randy and Rex Frye is now centered around Stentz Springs.
