I could tell something was wrong with my dad. I knew him very well. When something is bothering him, his body language changes in a second. He could be relaxed one minute and the next show how stressed out he was without him realizing it. I was the only one who could easily calm him down.
Maybe that’s the reason my brother hates me. Dad and I have been so close since I was a little girl. Being the younger sister out of us three, I always looked up to Ethan and Ava. But being the youngest and the ‘favorite’ always got me in trouble with my brother.
All I wanted was for him to love me, to keep the boys away like any brother did, to make fun of me and make me cry until he felt bad and apologized, to teach me to drive his car. That’s all I wanted from him.
