"Celia! Celia!! Celia!!!" A man in black pants and a blue plaid shirt called as he raced across the hall into a white office with a homey look. Flowers, paintings, and photographs adorned the room but it looked more like an interior design model than an actual personal setting.
The woman inside was in front of a half-length mirror applying more red lipstick to her already red lips.
"What is it now, John?" She asked dropping her lipstick and picking up her compact powder to touch up her face.
"Alpha Sky." He breathed out and her compact snapped shut before a slow grin appeared on her face.
“I knew it. He can't really break us up. We have been through too much together." She opened her compact again and rushed to apply some on her cheeks.
"He's with a girl." John continued slowly.
"Excuse me?" She turned to him with fire in her eyes.
"Well, he walked in with a human woman."
"Where are they?"
"It seems she's the new Accounts Manager. They were in the office last I saw."
"Did you just say, manager? Who is she? How could she be the accounts manage? That's a very high rank." Higher than hers even.
"No one really knows." He replied.
"Find out everything for me. Every damn thing about her."
"All right." He nodded and she turned back to her mirror finding something else to adjust "Aren't you going to go to the Alpha?"
"No need. He'll come to me." Her voice was smug and proud.
"If you say so." He shrugged leaving her office with a doubtful expression.
When she was done with her pancaking, she walked to her desk and flipped through files on her computer not really seeing anything but counting seconds for him to appear. Finally......
"Celia." She heard the beautiful authoritative voice call and she smiled at the system covering the bottom half of her face.
"Alpha," She answered before standing up gingerly.

Kayleigh stretched with a groan turning her neck side to side to relieve the ache there. She'd been going through books for the past 4 hours. Surprisingly well-kept books. There did not seem to be a single mistake or corruption in it. Admittedly, it wasn't a very smart business running but it was very honest bookkeeping. She raised her eyes as a knock sounded on the door.
"Are you ready for lunch?" Jo asked and she glanced at the gold antique-looking wall clock on the wall opposite her.
12:36
"Yes. I'm starving." She stated closing the books and arranging them neatly on a side of the desk before putting her pen, workbook, and calculator on another pile.
"What would you like to eat?" Jo asked as they made their way outside her office.
"Something light but good."
"I know the perfect place." Jo beamed and Kayleigh nodded. She liked Jo.
"Doesn't the building have a cafeteria?"
"It does. But the Alpha wants us to stay low-key."
"I'll meet everyone in the office eventually," Kayleigh noted.
"True. Cafeteria it is then. It also has an amazing snack selection."
She wasn't big on snacks unless it was in the middle of the night.
"Kayleigh?" Someone called and they both turned to see a woman with strawberry blonde hair, a wide small, huge but deep eye on an oval face. She was also in the house with Cherry that first day.
"Jenn right?" Kayleigh remembered and the girl seemed pleased.
"You remembered." She looked like she won the lottery. "I feel so honored to be remembered by you. How does it feel to know you're the Luna? Must be amazing. Like a dream come true." Jenn babbled.
"Dream come true," Kayleigh scoffed.
"Jenn." There was a warning tone in Jo's voice. “The Alpha has instructed that no one find out about her.”
“Why?”
“Do you want to take that up with him?” Jo’s voice was stern.
"No.” She still looked confused but she smiled merrily. “Come on I'll walk you to the cafeteria." Jenn offered tagging along with them. Kayleigh decided she probably wouldn't like her much but she had decided a long time ago that she didn't need more enemies.
The 'cafeteria' was actually a fancy restaurant building joined to the main office building at the back. Tainted glass walls, everything in different shades of brown and maroon. Maroon walls, brown tables. There were at least 5 dozen tables of different sizes. The door was solid oak and there was a clear path from the door to the counter.
"Let's take a seat at that end. It's where all the good gossip is." Jenn informed.
Kayleigh was not much of a gossip. Sure, she was in many gossip groups but was more of a listener than a talker in those groups. She was an information wh*re. They walked to the end where there was a table for 4 and they all sat.
“This is a beautiful cafeteria,” Kayleigh commented.
"Right? I remember when Alpha Dean was alive. The whole place was a sh*thole." Jenn shivered "Our territory was under constant war and the economy...nothing to write home about. Alpha Sky's been here like 12 years and we're like the 3rd strongest pack around." She sounded very proud.
Kayleigh changed her mind. She'd like Jenn very, very much. She would be perfect for finding out all the mechanics of the place. With her running mouth and Jo’s silent worship, she was set.
"Where's the server?" Jo muttered tapping her fingers impatiently looking around. When her eyes reached the direction of the door, her eyes widened and she gripped the table cloth.
"What is it?" Jenn asked then looked at the door and whistled low, "Vampire alert."
A woman with striking red hair, brown eyes, and a body that belonged on a lingerie poster was walking in. Her footsteps echoed in thesemi-emptyy cafeteria and the few people around stayed out of her way.
"Who's that?" Kayleigh asked.
"Celia Jonathan. Omega's daughter. Total beauty queen as you can see. Proud as a peacock. She was one of the cool girls in high school." There was distaste in Jo's voice.
"And Alpha's ex-best friend." Jenn provided helpfully.
"Ex-best friend?" Kayleigh asked.
"Shut up Jenn," Jo said through gritted teeth.
"No, no. Please continue" Kayleigh urged and Jo glared at Jenn who was too excited to share her information to notice.
"Your funeral," Jo told her.
"I'm not supposed to say," Jenn stated looking a little panicked after Jo's statement.
"Why not?"
"Alpha Sky probably won't like it. And as much as he's a fair and compassionate leader, he could still chop off my head if I said the wrong words."
"I'll handle Sky," Kayleigh assured. "What's the deal with her?" There was only another second of hesitation before the dam broke.
