"Sir, here is the paper you asked me to bring"My manager, Mr Wadhwa said hesitantly.
I took the file from him and gave him a light node. He left the cabin and I get back to work.
Nowadays I was having work pressure as we cracked our new deal. I wanted to make my company worlds best in construction and designing. So to made my dreams come true, I had to work thrice the amount of work.
After going through the budget sheets of our next project. I picked up the quotation file of the Airport project tender our company was going to apply.
with every passing second, my face turned stoic. Blood pumping through my vein like molten lava.
I called my secretary and asked him to send Mr Wadhwa in my cabin.
After some time there was a knock on my door.
"Come in"
"S-Sir you called me"He shuttered.
"Yes, Mr Wadhwa. Mind telling me what is this?"I said throwing file on him.
"S-Sir.."
"Stop blabbering like an i***t. I am not paying you to entertain the staff. I want perfection. if you don't complete your work on time then I will not think twice about firing you. Now get back to work and this time make it perfect."He didn't need twice before he ran out of the room like his a*s on fire.
"Hey, why are you so moody today?"Vedant, my one of the close friend and business partner, asked when he saw Wadhwa rushing out of my office.
"Tell me why am I paying these idiots?"I asked annoyed.
"Hey, calm down bro. We don't want this building shattered due to your roaring"
I rolled my eyes at his comment.
"Here, take this," He said giving me his phone. I raised my eyebrow in question.
"Meera aunty called me asking about your whereabouts. You again shut your phone off. why you have it anyway? you know you need to chill sometime, instead of shouting like a maniac. you are just only twenty-five not fifty for god sake."He said irritatedly.
Ignoring his sarcastic comment, I answered the call.
"Hey, maa"
"Where are you ABHIMAAN KHURANA?"My mom shouted. She was always like this whenever we failed to give her attention.
"I am busy in some work, mom," I said calmly. she was like a feisty cat whenever she was angry.
"I don't care. Next time don't do that and answer my call, you i***t"
"Okay, mom. Is there something you want to say?"
"Oh, yeah. you almost make me forget"I rolled my eyes at her antics.
"Oh, my lovely son. just come home straight away. I want to discuss with you something."She said sweetly.
"Mom. you sure you are okay?" I asked suspiciously.
"Yeah, why?"
"N-Nothing. Just wondering. I will be there after finishing my work. "I said hurriedly.
"Okay, bye. love you soon."
"Bye, love you too"
Vedant looks at me with curiously.
"what?"
"Nothing," He said with a chuckled.
"No. there must be something. Just tell me.'I asked stubbornly.
"Nothing dude. Just thinking about the threats. We need to do something about it."His demeanour change from funny to serious.
"Did you find someone who can solve this problem?"
"Yes, Abhi. I know the best hackler who can help us in this." his eyes shone at the mention of someone.
"Do you know him very well?" I asked curiously.
"Of course dude. We are like a family" he answered. I nodded at him.
"See you tomorrow. Don't be late, "he said and rushed out of the office.
I needed to finish it and leave before my mother decided to roast me in place of food.

"Mom, I am home. Where are you?"I asked as I enter our house.
"In the kitchen" she replied.
I placed my coat and bag on the couch before going towards the kitchen.
It felt like heaven. I ran inside as delicious aroma reached my nose. My taste buds etched to eat the delicious food prepared by her. She was the best cook ever.
"I missed you" I hugged her from behind and said.
She chuckled at my reaction. I knew I was twenty-five but I loved my mom so much.
"Just freshen up dear. till then, I will place the food on the dining," she said and pushed me out of the kitchen.
"Let me help you"
"No. it's fine"
"Okay"
I freshened up quickly. I couldn't wait to taste the delicious food. My taste was etching to do the tango.
"hey, dada"
"hey, Abhi. How is the project going on?"
"Its good and even" before I could finish my mom cut me off.
"No talking about the work on the dining," She said sternly.
Dad just nodded like a child. He loved her a lot. Even I wanted to have someone in my life whom I can love and cherish.
I don't think I will ever find her anytime soon.
