21: culprit

1748 Words

Gae walked out of the room like she had not just heard what he'd had to say. Her head tried to process the words. Gwax must have heard her lock the door shut because the next thing she knew, he was calling for her desperately. Gae paid no attention, walking in a straight line, her soul and mind out of this world. Her child was gone, her child was really gone. She was robbed of the chance to ever become a mother and not only that, she would never get that chance again. When her thoughts became too consuming, she screamed out in terror. This was too much for her to handle. Gwax caught up with her and held her shoulders as she was trying to make her way out of the room. She held her hands in her ear as if to shut her thoughts out and the next thing she knew, she was letting out a wail.
