Chapter 5 – We will meet again and again

“Aaron, sweetheart if you are ready shall we go?” Selena packed the necessary things including Aaron’s breakfast, lunch and snacks.

“Yes mom I am good to go” Aaron is in a happy mood to go with Selena.

“My little munchkin is in a very happy mood today ha. Come let’s go, we are getting late” Selena needs to go quickly to the shop since it is Sunday and most of the shops are closed, if she opens the shop quickly she can bring a good income to the shop. That’s what the shop owner expects from her.

They got into the car and went to the shop. She parked the car and quickly got off with Aaron.

“Sweetheart take your necessary things and let’s go inside” Aaron took his food, water bottle and school bag. He needs to complete his homework until Selena in the shop.

“Master shall we go then?” Alfred asks from Ethan.

“I am ready Alfred, I don’t know why dad can’t wait for another day for this meeting” Ethan said in a blame tone. Ethan wore a brown leather jacket with white t shirt and black jeans. He didn’t go to wear official suits since this is a meeting only within the departmental heads. He looks so handsome with the jacket and his shades. 

“Master, you know about Mr. Alex. He did lot of sacrifices to bring his business into a place where it is today” Alfred open the door of the vehicle. It’s a Mercedes Benz 300d 4Matic SUV vehicle. Ethan is having more than 60 different vehicles and his favorites are SUV’s. As usual another two vehicles came in front and behind of his vehicle.

“Alfred I forgot few things, stop near a book shop so I can buy things” Ethan said while typing on his laptop.

“OK master, but since it is Sunday and a holiday I am not sure that whether there are any shops” Alfred said and drive towards the office.

Alfred saw that a small shop was open. The open board’s lights were working and quickly he pulls the breaks.

“Master, looks like a one book shop is open”

“See Alfred, after all someone is saving the day” Ethan said and wink.

“Master you wait here, I’ll bring you the things” Alfred was about to shut the engine.

“No Alfred, you wait and keep the engine start, I’ll buy the things quickly and come, so we can go there hurry” Ethan said and got down from the vehicle.

Ethan went inside the book shop. It’s a small boutique and no one seems to be there.

“Hello, is there anyone?” Ethan’s eyes roamed here and there looking for someone.

“Yes, sir how may I help you?” Selena got up from her place. She was bending behind the counter and arranging things. She heard someone’s voice and quickly got up.

Ethan can’t believe the scene in front of him. He shook his head and removes his shades and wipes his eyes to double confirm that it is her. Yes it’s her, the angel he saw yesterday. The picture that his heart and eyes was desperately waited to see again and again.

“You” Ethan whispered.

“You” Selena gave an angry tone.

“What are you doing here?” Selena folded his arms in angry.

“Is that the way you talked to a customer” Ethan gave his weight to the counter glass.

“What do you want?” Selena’s tone is calm now. He is right; after all he is the first customer today.

“I want you” Ethan’s tone is firm.

“What?” Selena ask with a disgust tone.

“Aaah I mean I want you to find me a parker pen and other few things” Ethan shook his head and said.

“So you work here?” Ethan ask while Selena searching for the parker pen.

“Hmm” Selena hummed only.

“Look at the arrogant and pride of this girl, working in a small silly place, but showing high attitudes for me, for Ethan Alex Wayne. Oh lady, you don’t know who I am” Ethan’s subconscious said.

“Here is your pen, anything else you need?” Selena asks.

“Hmmm actually I need to buy a big list” Ethan lied. He only needs to take this pen only, which is also he couldn’t ask his secretary to buy a new one, that’s why he has to buy this morning before the meeting. But he is delighted, that fate meets them again.

“If you are in a hurry give me the list and I’ll prepare the things leisurely and you can pick the things while you are coming again.” Selena suggested. Selena needs to see Ethan go away as soon as possible.

“Not at all, I am not in a hurry. You can find the things for me” Ethan is in a hurry actually for the meeting, but this meeting is so beautiful and he is greedy to see the goddess in front of her.

“Fine, then tell me the list” Selena is annoyed with Ethan.

Ethan started to request many things, actually he doesn’t want anything. He needs to look at Selena. He is scanning Selena’s beauty. The wavy brown and black hair which is moving in to a rhythm when she is going here and there brought a smile to his face.

On the other hand Selena is annoyed to see Ethan. She doesn’t like him at all.

“So you are working here alone?” Ethan asks while scanning her.

“It’s Sunday and the shop owner ask me to work so we can earn extra income. Others are enjoying with their holiday”

“Are you the cashier?” Ethan needs to confirm about her status.

“Are you here to purchase things or interview me? What I am doing here is none of your business” Selena kept things on the counter glass with a loud thud to show her anger.

“You are a unique lady my love” Ethan thought with a smile.

Selena needs to reach to the top of the rack to take file covers. Her height is not enough and she needs to take a stool and climb little bit. She looks for the stool and climbed on it.

“If you can’t take it I’ll take that for you” Ethan started to coming towards her.

“I can take that, you stay at your place”

“I was just trying to help you” Ethan said and acted in a surrender mode.

Selena climbed to the stool and went up with her toes. She took the files with her finger tips and suddenly she lost her balanced and about to fall.

“Aaaaaahhh Aaron” She screamed and closed her eyes, she was expected to fall on the ground and hit her spine, but no it didn’t happen. Before she fell on the ground two strong hands caught her.

“It’s OK you are safe, open your eyes” Ethan jumped from the counter and caught her into his arms. Her feather weight body is in his arms. He never thought that. He is in nine clouds; his angel is in his arms. His arms are around the waist of Selena’s and Selena’s face tightly glued to the Ethan’s chest, she unknowingly hugged Ethan’s body. He forgets everything, he feels like he got the entire world. Ethan slept with many women, but he never felt this feeling when he touches them.  

“Wait a minute did she screamed a man’s name? Who is that f****r that is already in the life of my angel” Ethan’s subconscious thought.

“Who the hell is Aaron?” Ethan’s angry tone came out.

“Mom, are you all right? Why did you scream?” Aaron came running towards Selena. He was doing his homework inside a room of the shop.

“I am OK sweet heart” she hugged Aaron tightly. She was afraid if anything happens to her Aaron’s life will be in a hell.

“Mo..Mom” Ethan repeat, his throat went dry. Is she a mom? Is she married? His whole world started to collapsed in front of him.

“No no calm down Ethan, calm just down. You need to think and work” Ethan’s subconscious told him.

“Hey, I just saved your mom before falling on the ground, don’t I deserve a hug and thank” Ethan widen his hands in a hug mode and bend to Aaron’s level.

“Thank you uncle, you saved my mom. She is my everything” Ethan hugged Aaron tightly.

“Aaron, now go inside and do your homework” Selena said and Aaron went inside.

“I didn’t hear the word thank you from the lady I saved” Ethan kept his hand behind his ear like he is waiting to hear it.

“Thank you” Selena whispered.

“What? I didn’t hear it? Say it again louder” Ethan started to tease Selena.

“Thank you” Selena yelled.

“Aaaah, what a nice word when it comes from your mouth” Selena’s words are like a melody to him.

“I am Ethan” Ethan forward his hand in a shake hand manner.

“Your things are ready, is that all you need to buy?” Selena ask while packing things.

“Come on, at least I deserved to know your name for the sake of saving you right?” Ethan pressed his lips.

“I am not sharing anything with strangers” Selena gave him a cold shoulder.

“That’s why we need to know our names, so we won’t be strangers” Ethan bends to the counter glass again.

“It’s Selena” Selena told her name because she felt that Ethan won’t go from there until she says her name.

“Selena. What a beautiful name, just like the lady who is holding the name” Ethan smile and gave his card for the bill.

Selena swipe the card and gave it back to Ethan with the bill. Their fingers slightly brushed, Ethan felt like a current went all over his body.

“Remember that day I told you that we will meet again, so it happened. Today also I am saying that we will meet again and again, and trust me I love these meetings of us” he smirked with a smile and wore his shades and went out.

Selena rolled her eyes and cursed for Ethan.
