"Edwardian honored her hall with first blood," Hail boasted. She's standing there looking at Dom with a smirk on her face.
"Am I not standing here?" Dominion almost growled at her. "I was watching. I also watched how she almost ended the next heir to the house of Fallen,"
Dominion couldn't help but feel pride over her sister's victory. Her attack had been powerful. It was only half the power it should have been since that power is borrowed. Between Philip and E they had unimaginable strengths. Had she used the full strength of her ice affinity, Abbadon Chambers would be no more.
Edwardian and Philip's twin bind is the number one power roaming the earth and it has never been used, they never even considered using it. The only thing about their bond that is definite is the hunger. It amplifies when they're together. A curse that keeps them away from one another. They never linger around each other for too long. They don't make any kind of physical contact. It's hard for two of them to be cursed this way.
Edwardian walked into the arena guest hall like she owns the place. Their eyes met and she gave Dominion a weak smile before Armadian and Avaira walked in behind her. Then Abbadon walked in with a blood pack and handed it to her. They looked at each other as if they were the bestest of friends. Like she hadn't almost just ended him. Then they began to talk just like everyone else. The two of them have serious bruises on their faces, along the exposed skin around their armor. Leave it to her to make friends with the people she almost kills.
"Hall of Light you're next," the arena master shouted.
The angel and two vampires looked over at them when they stood up. Edwardian looked over the side and down at the arena where the witches were fixing the mess she had created. It brought a smirk to her face that served to agitate Dom.
Dominion feels somewhat scared, but she knows that Edwardian is going to be watching from up here and she has to make her see that she doesn't need to be protected. Besides, at the end of all of this, it is Dominion who is the one that is going to die. Edwardian would be damned if she was going to let Malivia take over everything mother and father had built when they fell in love with each other. When mother and father united two houses at war by an unbreakable bond.
In Darkness once you marry someone, the only way out of it is if one or the other dies. However, no one wants that because the people of Darkness are bound by the fate laws of soulmates. Each house has its own name for it, but it all means the same thing.
The arena does something to Darknessians. It brings out the inner beasts and shows the true colors of their soul. At the beginning of the trial, Dominion had been one of the soldiers. The others laughed when she had tried to take lead and it served to fuel the anger in her. She strategized her own outcome. She watched as two members of her hall were killed while the others simply tried to avoid their impending death.
"What the hell are you doing?" Avaira shouted from the crowd. Dom looked up at her to see E standing next to her with a smile on her face. She whispered something into Avaira's ear that calmed the aristocrat.
"Why are you just standing there?" Hail asked. Her arms are decorated with scars that are openingly bleeding out.
"I'm sorry. I can't hear you over the sound of your laughter," she shrugged. The other's looked back at her desperately.
"I'm sorry," Hail humbled.
"Are we good?" Dom asked the others. They all looked at her with hard emotionless expressions. Darknessian's and their pride. It'll be the death of them.
"We're good," they answered.
"They have a full team. We need to spread out," she instructed.
"We tried that," Markian growled.
"Not like this. Form a circle around them. When I say, go. Place your hands flat on the floor. Got it?" they nodded. She motioned them to move.
Dom took her place right under the balcony E is standing on. The others took their position holding the rival hall's attention. Dom took a deep breath concentrating on the density of the air around her. She let her senses drift with it as her hallmates all fought. She needs to feel where they are so she doesn't accidentally kill them.
"Stop playing with them, Dom. They know not to disobey now," E laughed. Dom laughed.
"Go," she growled. They all dropped to the floor doing as she had asked.
Dom's legs spread kicking sand in the air before she pulled the air around her in gathering in it front of her. She spun her arms in circles creating a small whirlwind of sand. She pushed forward with all her might before leaping inside of it. She released her wings over her head allowing the force of the air to spin her. She extended her claws holding her arms out. Their deaths were quick. They didn't even see what hit them.
With two strokes of her wings, the wind settled and the sand dropped around her. The bodies of three rivals, the ones who were the closest, lied on the floor headless. Her hands and arms are coated in their blood. Everyone wass in shock for a moment.
Dom finally placed her feet on the sand below and pulled her wings back into place hiding them. She shook some of the blood on her arms out. E was the first to start clapping. The sound of her hands slapping against one another snapped the others out of it and a thunderous cheer erupted from the crowd. Avaira whispered something to E and the two of them walked away together with the rest of her hall following behind.
If Edwardian really intends to kill her, she is going to have a hard time doing it.
"Hey, pretty scary girl," she looked up to see one of the angels that was added to her hall after the trials.
"Hi..?" she answered hesitantly. She's pretty sure she's never encountered this angel before.
"Oh, my name is Fabiel," she giggled.
"Dominion," Dom greeted extending her hand out. The girl beamed and sat across from roughly shaking her hand. She's a brute, Dom decided before she decided that she likes this angel.
"I know, I'm an enthusiast of all of the Daughters of Pierce," Dom smiled knowing why she was acting the way she is.
"So, what you do to end up here?" Dom asked her.
"I pushed my brother Azazel's fallen down the stairs at our castle," that made Dom laugh.
"Wait, you're a demon," she asked. Azazel is one of Lucifer's favorite soldiers.
"Well yeah," Fabiel giggled.
"I've never met a demon before,"
"Lies," she turned to see Daniel walking in.
"You're a demon?" she asked eyes wide.
"Yeah, just because I'm a Chambers doesn't mean I'm an angel," he laughed.
"I kind of expected demons to be a frightful sight not..."
"Super delicious-looking?" Fabiel asked. Dom nodded shamelessly eyeing Daniel.
"Originally we are born angels. When we come of age which is at seventeen we get to choose what side we have to follow. I chose uncle Luc when I turned seventeen,"
"I didn't know that. Do all of you have the same powers and wings?" she asked excitedly. For someone who hates angels and all they've done to her. She's leaping into something she might not care to understand.
"Well, the shine of our wings all depends on what power we wield and the elixir we drink to maintain our original vessel alive and well,"
"Original vessel?"
"A vessel is a body. These are our original vessels. However, if this body were to die we can't unless we are killed by an angel relic specifically made for that angel. In my case, it would be either my mother or father's blade. Our being is the soul of the vessel which goes to the next mature vessel available,"
"I see that is very interesting," she nodded. My name came to her mind. He smiled.
"Did you guys hear about Doniel?" Fabiel asked.
"What about her?" Dom asked with displeasure.
"She was killed by a werewolf,"
"What? When?" she asked standing up.
"Last night. Robiel and Michael found her out in the field outside the borders of Darkness. Don't worry about it, Princess. You have your own problems right now," Daniel answered her.
Dominion went back to training with Daniel with that on her mind. She wants me to let Philip or Edwardian know. A werewolf killed an angel. That's not a formation of words that are put together very often.
