Carlos's P.O.V
“First kiss?” I asked her
I had been asking her questions for the last half an hour
“You are a nosey one aren't you?” she giggled
“Nope...just curious. I did tell you I wanted to get to know you, that’s what I am doing.” I chuckled
She rolled her eyes playfully at me
“I was eleven with some boy whose name I can't even remember.” She giggled
“Well it must not have been a very good kiss if you can't remember the poor guy’s name. I remember every detail about my first kiss.” I smiled
“Yes it really was terrible. You do? Well tell me then? I told you...only fair you tell me.” She giggled
“I was eleven too, it was on the school playground. Her name was Lacy. I had been crushing on her since I was like eight and my friend dared me to go up and kiss her so I did...she never seemed to mind...she ended up being my first girlfriend for like two weeks “I laughed
“Well that relationship lasted long.” She giggled
“It was an amazing two weeks, well until I caught her kissing Freddie Jacobs.” I pouted
“Aw I'm sorry.” She said trying not to laugh at me
“Don’t be. They are now happily married with two daughters.” I smiled
“Whoa! Really? That is pretty incredible.” She smiled and I nodded
I made us another drink before getting back to question time.
“What about your family?” I asked her, Winter shifting uncomfortably
“Sorry you don’t need to tell me.” I said
She sighed, giving me a small smile
“I don't have any family...well not blood related family. Been on my own since I was about sixteen. My parents never wanted me. They loved their c***k more than they loved me. I left when I could not seen or heard from them since, well actually technically they through me out.” She shrugged
I felt my heart break for her. I could not even imagine being without my family. I reached over, placing my hand over hers
“I am sorry Winter that is terrible. I don't understand how parents could do that to their own kids.” I said sadly
“It's fine. Was a long time ago. It does not get to me as much now.” She shrugged like it was the most normal thing in the world.
“There was nothing OK about that Winter.” I said sadly
“Can we not talk about it now please?” she said pulling away from me, heading over to the window, staring out into the back garden
I sighed, slowly making my way over to her, placing my hand on her hips. She shivered under my touch before looking over her shoulder at me
“You OK?” I asked
“Yes I am fine. This place is amazing.” She gushed
“Would you like a tour?” I asked and she nodded
I took my suit jacket off, placing it over her shoulders “it is cooler outside now, don't want you getting cold.” I smiled
“Thank you. Are you always this sweet?” she smiled
“I try to be.” I replied
We headed out back, slowly making our way around, chatting and laughing. She seemed more relaxed around me now. She linked her arm with mine as we walked. I found myself watching her now and again...she really was beautiful...breath taking even. I wanted badly to reach in and kiss her but I never wanted too push her. She stopped on the spot, making me do the same. Winter turned around, facing me
“Is there a reason you keep staring at me?” she giggled
“Cause you are beautiful and I can't keep my eyes off you.” I said being honest
“Stop." She said blushing, turning her face away from me, pushing my chest playfully
I chuckled before reaching in, placing my hand on her cheek, turning her back around to face me.
“I don't wanna stop.” I smiled stroking her cheek
She whimpered, closing her eyes over and moving into my touch.
“Winter can I kiss you?” I whispered
She never said anything, just nodded her head, opening her eyes too look at me. I grasped the curves of her hips gently, pulling her body close to me. I rested one hand on her cheek, the other staying put on her hip. She looked at me searching my face, her tongue ran over her bottom lip. Winter placed her hands on my chest, our lips only inches apart. I swallowed hard, feeling my pulse beginning to race. I closed the small space between us...pressing my lips against her. She whimpered loudly...a groan falling from my own lips. As soon as our lips touched it felt like a strong bolt of electricity soared through my entire body. Winter's arms wrapped around my neck, caressing the hair at the back of my head, deepening the kiss...pressing her soft, warm lips tighter against mine. I was in complete awe in this moment, her lips against mine felt right somehow. The kiss was sweet, gentle but still passionate. We pulled apart after a few moments. Winter sighed, running her thumb over her bottom lip as she opened her eyes to look at me.
“I have been wanting to do that since the first moment we met.” I whispered, stroking her face
She blushed again, making me chuckle. I placed another peck on her lips, a soft giggle escaping her lips, turning into a smile. We smiled at each other before we started on our way again
“Winter can I take you on a proper date?” I asked as we headed back inside, hoping she would say yes
“Yes...well if you don't change your mind about me by the end of the night.” She whispered
“What? Why would you think I would change my mind?” I asked a little surprised by her question
“Dunno.” She said nervously shrugging her shoulders at me
I reached for her, pulling her against my chest
“Winter I am not gonna change my mind. You have been on my mind since the moment we met.” I said looking her straight in the eye “if anything I wanna spent more time with you...a lot more time.” I said pushing her hair from her eyes
“I wanna spent more time with you too but Carlos you need to patient with me. I am not gonna lie I will try pushing you away but I won't mean to. I just struggle to trust people.” She said, a sadness to her tone
“I am a very patient man Winter. You try pushing me away I will just bring you back to me.” I said softly
“Ok.” She said smiling sweetly at me
I felt my heart thud is my chest with her words...with the way she was smiling at me. I think I may be falling for this woman already and I have only just got to know her...well some of her.
“Do you play pool?” she asked “and are you any good?” she added
“I do and I am not too bad. Why do you ask?” I asked
“Can you teach me? I am terrible at it.” She said giggling
“Yes sure thing. Do you want more comfortable clothes to where?” I asked “cause I still have some clothes in my old room.” I added
“That would be good thanks. Feel kind of icky in these clothes.” She laughed
“Ok follow me.” I smiled extending my hand to her
She hesitated for a moment but then placed her hand in mine and I led us to my old bedroom. She was mesmerized with the place...the art on the walls. Her eyes were lighting up as she admired the place...I was admiring her as she did.
“You can grab a quick shower if you like?” I said
“I don’t wanna be a bother.” She whispered
“You are not a bother at all.” I smiled
Winter headed for a shower as I looked some clothes out for her to wear, leaving them at the bathroom door for her. I sat down on the bed, waiting for her. I got lost in my thoughts...my thoughts of her and how every time she was close my heart beat got faster.
“Better. Thank you.” She said pulling me out of thought
I looked up swallowing hard. She looked good in my clothes. I nibbled on my bottom lip to suppress a moan that was caught it my throat. She had no make up on...her blonde hair flowing over her shoulders and to he honest she has never looked so beautiful as she did right now.
“Good. Let's go grab some food then I will teach you how to play pool.” I smiled
“Good plan. I never realised how hungry I was until my stomach rumbled in the shower.” She giggled
She really was cute. I laughed, taking her hand in mine again, leading us to the kitchen. I was hoping she would stick around cause I was not ready to let her go.
