As instructed by Dominic, Jean went to the hospital to consult about the best contraception for her. 

Jean also thought it would be risky if she had a child from Dominic considering their marriage wasn't based on the love of the two, simply because it was profitable. 

Dominic used his marital status with Jean to benefit from a share increase. While Jean? Could it be called profitable for her? Rescued from a cursed place, then entered into Dominic's world, who was still grey and became Dominic Archer's wife. Wasn't it profitable? She could have gotten into the lion's den instead, right? 

If Jean was pregnant with Dominic's child, would Dominic accept it? Given that Dominic always firmly refused about having a child. Even though he didn't say it outright, his attitude and face showed that he didn't want it. 

"Mrs Archer." One of the nurses called, mentioning Archer's name, which was already embedded in her last name. 

Jean stood up and immediately entered the Doctor's room. Jean came alone. No one accompanied her. 

What did Jean expect? Dominic accompanying her? Consulting together? Discussing contraceptives? Dominic Archer wasn't an unemployed person who wanted to come to the hospital to talk about what contraceptives were good to prevent Jean from becoming pregnant. 

It was like a slave who wanted to invite her master to dinner, which he would definitely reject. 

"So, what does Dominic Archer's special person want to consult about?" The Doctor asked, sounding friendly. 

Jean frowned at the Doctor's words. She thought if Dominic and the Doctor were friends or something.

"It looks like your forehead has something to say." The Doctor chuckled at Jean. 

"What's your relationship with that arctic man, Doc?" Jean asked. She was baffled. 

"Haha!! You could say we are very close as a hair to dandruff." The Doctor teased. Jean just responded with a strange look. 

"We are not acquainted yet. I am Vian, you?" The Doctor named Vian introduced himself.

"Jean." Her answer was brief because she didn't want to make small talk with strangers even though the Doctor said that he was Dominic's friend. 

Vian knew that if Jean felt a little shy about him. He then started to get on the real topic. 

"Alright, Mrs Archer, what would you like to consult?" Vian started a professional attitude. 

"I want to do pregnancy prevention, Doc." Jean told the purpose of her arrival. 

Vian's face looked surprised at Jean's words, but it took only a few seconds and he neutralised it again. 

Jean clearly saw the change in Vian's face when she said that, but Jean chose to remain silent and acted as if she didn't know. 

"Then?" Vian listened. 

"I don't know anything about that. Can you explain to me, Doc?" Jean really didn't have a clue about preventing pregnancy and so on. 

"Very well, Mrs Archer. There are several contraceptives that can be used. There are two types of contraceptives, hormonal and non-hormonal." Vian started explaining things one by one so that Jean could understand better.

"First, the hormonal pills, its excess is easy to use and easy to obtain. Its disadvantage is that if you stop, you may still get pregnant if you forget to consume."

"Second, there is an injection every three months or six months. The disadvantage is the same as pills, there is a possibility of getting pregnant if the injection is late."

"Third is implants that last up to two years or it could be up to five years. The strength of the presentation not to get pregnant is 90%. 

"And for non-hormonal, there will be a contraceptive that is inserted into the uterus. The drawback is that an ectopic pregnancy can occur, or it is called pregnancy outside the uterus. Using this, there is still a possibility of getting pregnant."

"And finally, there is a condom. Disposable." Vian gave details about contraception. Jean then nodded at Vian's explanation.

"How Mrs Archer?" Vian asked what Jean would wear to make it safe.

Jean was on her way home after consulting about contraception, and Jean chose the pill one to prevent pregnancy. 

Why did she choose that? Because the pill was the easiest. If she used a tool planted about two to five years, she thought it would be a very long time because she didn't know when her marital status with Dominic would end. And the choice to use the pill was right, she just needed to stop taking it, and all was done. 

Jean didn't know when her marriage would end because it suddenly started and was likely to end abruptly. She only anticipated from the start. 

Jean's phone suddenly rang. An unknown number was calling her. She hesitated a little about picking up her phone. Still, she wondered who was calling her, afraid if it was an important call. She then shifted the green button. 

"Who?" Jean asked the caller. 

"Hi, daughter-in-law." The caller greeted her. 

Jean frowned, not knowing who was behind the call. She was about to hang it up but the caller spoke again. 

"Hi Jean, I'm Adam, your father in-law." It turned out that the one who was calling was Adam, Dominic's father. 

"Oh, hi, Da..d.." Jean was a little awkward calling Adam with 'Dad'. 

"If you mind calling me that, you can call me Adam." Adam realised that Jean was awkward calling him that. 

"It's okay. What's wrong, Dad?" Jean asked curiously. 

"Just wanted to take you to lunch, do you mind?" Adam asked to have lunch together. 

"But Dominic..." Not finished speaking, Adam had cut her off. 

"No need, only you." Said Adam quickly. 

"Ah... Okay." Jean agreed. 

"Alright, see you at home, daughter-in-law." Adam turned off the call. 

"Sir, please go to the Archer's residence." Said Jean to her driver. Without answering, the driver understood.

Now, Jean was confused as to whether she should tell Dominic about her visit to his Daddy's house or not. 

Jean wanted to call Dominic, but a second later, she cancelled it because she thought that if this was just a regular visit.

After all, she came to Adam's house, not the others. Hence, it was possible that Dominic wouldn't be angry with her.

Jean then arrived at Adam's residence, a luxury home as the Archer family was undoubtedly wealthy. 

"You're here, please come in. Shall we eat right away, or do you want to have a look?" Adam welcomed Jean and invited her to come in.

"Just go ahead, Dad." Said Jean because she was a little nervous about being with the Archer family without Dominic. 

Many foods have been served at the dining table, ranging from fruit, cakes and main dishes. For drinks, Adam prepared wine with high quality. 

He really wanted to indulge his daughter-in-law even though he didn't know that Jean didn't like that kind of drink. 

Jean then ate her food in silence because she didn't know where to start the conversation. 

"Do you like it? The one who makes all this food is our new personal chef. So you can judge him. If it doesn't taste good, he will be immediately dismissed." Adam started the conversation.

"This is very tasty." Jean answered. She didn't mince words, but it was confirmed that the food was delicious. 

"How about that man?" Adam asked about his son, Dominic.

In Jean's eyes at this time, Adam was like a father who was missing his son. He seemed strong on the outside but fragile on the inside. 

"He is nice." Jean replied. 

"Is that so? Thank God, I hope you are all right with him. As Dad told you, that man is annoying, but you will find a good person in him if you get to know him well." Said Adam with a smile. Maybe he missed when Dominic was still an obedient child, unlike now, brandishing swords at each other. 

'Then, what made him as he is now?' Jean thought, wondering. 

"You must really love him." Jean guessed. Adam replied to Jean with only a smile. 

Who knew, sometimes men couldn't express how they feel. 

"He used to be an obedient child. And become what he is now after his mother left." Adam started talking about Dominic. Jean, of course, was very interested. 

"Mother?" Jean wanted to dig deeper.

"Yes, his mother..." Before Adam could continue his words, Dominic came and pulled Jean towards him. 

"Stop bragging, and I told you not to touch her." 

It was clear that the atmosphere had become tense. Jean really wanted to know why Dominic hated Adam so much.

"Jean, have I touched you?" Adam deliberately said that, even though he knew clearly what Dominic meant by 'touching.'

"To hell with that, once again you disturb me, I will not hesitate to make you..." Dominic stopped his words. 

"Make me what?" Adam repeated Dominic's words. He also knew that there was actually still a good side of Dominic to him. 

Still, Dominic was too fortifying himself with hatred so that his family relationships were like enemies. 

"Whatever it is, I warned you. I will not hesitate to make you fall, Adam." Dominic pressed the last word to scare Adam. But in fact, Adam just laughed. 

"You still don't understand the rules, son." Adam laughed disparagingly. 

"Let's go home." Dominic pulled Jean out. Before actually leaving, Jean bowed respectfully to Adam. After all, Adam was Dominic's father, even though she didn't know what situation they were in.

Dominic and Jean were in the car heading home. 

There was only silence. No one opened the conversation. Jean was really curious about the conflict that was going on in the Archer family. 

Would it be polite for Jean to ask Dominic? 

"Your face always creases when you want to know something." Dominic's guess was always correct. 

"Can I ask about your relationship with Daddy?" Jean asked carefully.
