The Zodiac Trails

Chapter 3

The servant are there when I walk in and I see a purple ball gown dress, a curling iron, hair ties and a tiara. I look at them.

"I draw the line with tiara. That is not going on my head but you can do everything else." They nod in agreement they start working on me and by the time my dress is on it's already 11:20.

I look at myself in the mirror. My eyes are purple and my hair is brown without the curls it reaches to my hips. My face is in a heart shape with perfect eyebrows. They never have to be tamed. This ball gown makes me feel like I've already won at being a Goddess. My body is an hourglass figure so it fits perfectly. I honestly look breathtaking.

I walk out and see Melanie is talking to the Capricorn guys and I walk over to her. They all have purple ties to match our outfits. I look at her and shes in a purple a line dress. I walk over to her and her eyes light up. She nearly trips running to me.

"YOU ARE SO GORGEOUS!" Melanie says so loud I think everyone can hear her downstairs.

"It's a little too much. We should start going downstairs." Me, her and everyone who's ready goes downstairs. As soon as we there it's just so crowded and so many colors. The ballroom itself is pink and gold. I will not lie...they did wonderful on the decorations.

"Welcome everyone to our 100th anniversary ball! I hope you guys enjoy. Theres food and drinks on the tables. It's fine if you put food on the plates and drinks in your cup you can take them up to your room. I completely understand if you're tired from the trip. You can also go outside and get familiar to the backyard. If you were wondering how you are going to pray to your Gods and Goddesses, know that they are in sacred places that the Gods and Goddesses before you went to when they were stressed. Now that the introduction is done let's get started with the name callings. Come up to the stage when your name gets called so we can see you two in glory. We will start from the pisces then go down that way…." Then I just kind of zoned out. I can't sit through this whole ceremony. I know for a fact I can't remember 288 kids names. He gets to the Capricorn and goes down the list. My name is last to get called upon.

"Lilith and Aaron" I walk up on stage with the guy. He is fit. He looks way too cocky for his own good. His sides of his hair are shaved and his top is long. I hate him. Don't know why but the inside of me is boiling looking at him. He grabs onto my hand and lifts our hands in the air like everyone's been doing then he walks me off the stage.

"Do you want to get to know each other for a little bit." I say in a whisper.

"Sorry, I'm just too tired for this right now. We'll talk later." He let's go of my hand and walks away back toward the rooms. Did this b***h really….

"Next are the Sagittariuss. Ash and Ascella." I look up to see the guy that showed me to my room in a tux and a beautiful girl standing at 5'7. Her hair is medium length and shes wearing a mermaid dress. I feel crushed for no reason. For a moment me and him lock eyes. I am eternally screaming on the inside. I look at my phone then I think of something.

Back when I was studying there was a place where the goddesses would go for answers or to heal in general. It was their quiet place when they needed to think. I will visit it and get my spiritual adventure and advice early. I walk outside and I start shivering. It's so cold but I really want to see the Capricorns special place. I believe if I'm right it should be deep in the forest and pretty much the praying place is this waterfalls but the waters around it are shallow. It's going to be very cold. I pass through the woods and come by the waterfalls. There are flowers all around the water.

It was said that the current Goddess found her powers here during the final stage. Where she made the flowers grow with her intense feelings. All earth elements have the power to grow things and heal the earth. I dont know what the other elements do sadly. I feel like it would be amazing to see the other Zodiacs stuff. I probably shouldn't be getting in cold water. I just kind of wanted to get out of the crowd. I untie my dress and take it off. I get into the water and goosebumps rise. It's so f*****g cold. I get down on my knees and sit in the water. I stare up at the moon. I can see my breath. I close my eyes and meditate for awhile then I see a bright light. The Capricorn goddess comes out of the and looks at me. Her beauty is unimaginable. I feel tears roll down my cheeks.

"I see you are very eager to start your spiritual task. Well I'm glad you came early than the others. Yours will be the whole spiritual awakening. My advice is, not everything you see is true. I would get to know your other Zodiacs. I have heard your prayers Lilith, but I think you can make those prayers true yourself. Dont get stressed out, and know that if you're lost...someone will always be there to have your back. I wish you all the luck on your adventure." She kisses my forehead leaving the mark of the goddess in my head. She looks behind me and hides her giggling and disappears.

I open my eyes and I'm shivering so badly I feel eyes on me and I get up and look over where the goddess was staring. I see Ash and blush. I pick up a rock and throw it at him hitting him in the head.

"OW f**k" he covers face. "Hey, don't f*****g throw rocks my dude. I thought I heard someone call my name over here."

"This place is sacred! I'm in nothing but my bra and underwear! How long have you sat there and stared at me."

"I literally just got here. You should probably get out of the water. You'll get sick and your body is probably ice cold."

"I-!"

"You dont want help I get it, but...I'm just worried about your safety. I can't leave you out here, it's not in my blood." I roll my eyes for his plea. I get up and the chill winds start to pick up. I shiver and I try to warm up but my body is cold as ice. I walk towards him and I notice he has a blanket and my dress in his hands. He wraps the blanket around me and we start walking. The blanket is a thick plush blanket. How did he know he was going to need a blanket out here.

"...How did you know you were going to need a blanket?" I ask looking up at him.

"I….My God told me I should bring a blanket. I'm not going to lie, but I'm glad I listen." I can see him blush and he turns away from me.

"Its going to be a long walk. Mind if I ask some questions about your Zodiac?"

" I dont mind, fire away."

"Well, really...I just want to know why you have piercings and tattoos? I was always told it was off limits."

"Its a sagittarius tradition. We all have tattoos of something. I was the only guy that went over board. My piercings are just something I wanted."

"So what are your tattoos about?"

"Oh, the right arm is all of the zodiac signs in their forms with their signs next to them in stars. My left arm is pretty much a mixture of things I like." He chuckles and looks at me.

"How do you know all these things? I barely know anything about the zodiacs."

"It was just a peak of interest. I would sneak out at night and break into a library in the general public and take books on other Zodiacs. The only zodiac I could get ahold of was Capricorns."

"Its because we kept all our books on lock down. We dont tell many secrets. I may have a personal question?"

"Oh? Spicing things up? Go ahead."

"My sign is on the back of my knee...wheres yours?"

He laughs nervously. I see him blush a little.

"Mine is in a very private place. I'd prefer not to say, but a hint is...its above your sign. Here's my question, Did you and Aaron talk at all once you've met?"

That is the weirdest question he could ask. What does he want to know about Aaron? And why?

"No, he was too busy trying to go back to bed. In return, how about you and Ascella?"

"Well of course! We're childhood best friends. We go way back. Our mentors would let us play along with the girls."

"Well isnt that nice." My heart has sunk into the pit of my stomach. I'm about to just...rip out my heart and just throw it away. He stays quiet for a few moments. We're getting close to the back door. We can see a dim light. I look over and he's been staring down at me. When our eyes meet he snaps back looking forward. "What are you staring at?" He looks alarmed from that question.

"Sorry! I just never really...seen a Capricorn in person. I just thought you guys would look a little bit like pisces or aquarius because you guys are sea goats. You don't have any features as a fish." This is going to be interesting if he sees me fully submerged in water. We can breath under water. We don't drown. We get to the back door and Ascella is waiting for him looking worried. He hands my dress folded up and he let's me keep the blanket. Him and Ascella walk away catching up on what happened. I go back to my room and get out of the soggy clothes and get into my pjs. Shorts and a tank top. I hang up the blanket to dry. I lay down and look out the balcony doors. It looks like tomorrow a blizzard is going to hit. I sit up and turn on the radio then lay back down. As I watch the snowflakes start to fall. I slip deeply into sleep.
