chapter 3

piper.

I woke up to the sounds of sadie playing in her bed over the monitor. I smiled an rolled over grabbing my phone to check the time when I saw I had a text. my smile got even bigger seeing it was neal.

neal- good morning gorgeous. hope you and your tiny side kick slept well.

piper- good morning. we did sleep well, I hope you did also. why are you up so early on a Saturday?

neal- unfortunately club work. but hopefully I knock it out fast.

piper- well I sure hope so. you can't work your life away ya know.

neal- ( laughing face) so I've been told. what are your plans for today?

piper- well it's my weekend off so I'm taking sadie to the beach after breakfast. not sure after that.

neal- well you enjoy and please be safe.

piper- always. don't work to hard

I out my phone away and head into sadie room I smile at her

" good morning sunshine!"

" mommy!"

I lift her up and change her.

" alright breakfast then the beach!"

"yay! I swim!"

I laugh and we make our way to the kitchen. I get my coffee and her breakfast and help her eat. after I we get done. i set her out of her chair and she runs off to play. when addie calls

" hey girlie"

" hey you. what happened to your date?"

" ugh he canceled last minute!"

" oh I'm so sorry!"

" don't be be wasn't worth my time. we till taking sadie to the beach?"

" yes about to get ready I'll meet you there"

" okay pack her a night bag mom is wanting to know if she can stay the night before she goes out of town"

" of course."

we hang up. addies mom works alot but she's always been there for me and sadie. she's basically another Grandma so when she's in town she keeps her sometimes.

while she watches her show I pack our beach bags and some snacks I change into my swim suit. I finally found one that hides my c-section scare. I'm extremely self conscious about my body, thanks to Ryan. I shake the thought from my head and pull on my cover up.

" okay sweet girl let's head out auntie will meet this there"

she jumps up and runs out the door screaming

once we make it to the beach I pull out her toys and set up everything while she plays in the sand. addie soon makes her way to us.

" hey guys!"

" auntie" sadie screams and I laugh

we all okay I'm the water for a few until sadie decided to build a sand castle.

" so anything new with you" addie asks and I smile I'm not sure what's going on with neal but I tell addie everything so I tell her.

" uh well a guy has been coming in the var for a few days and we actually talked last night. well he actually saved me from Ryan" I say rolling my eyes

" what the f**k was he doing there??" she asks pissed

" I have no idea" I say shrugging

" okay so this guy?" she questions wiggling her eyebrows and I push her shoulder

" it's not like that I don't think he's new and town and wants a friend and honestly he's in a biker gang I'm not sure if I even need to be involved"

" oh hush! she definitely wants you if he keeps coming back is he hot? did you get his number??" she's so excited and I laugh at her

" uh yeah he's nice to look at and yes we exchanged numbers" I say as if it's nothing but honestly I'm interested in him and that scares me

" oh no don't start over thinking just see where it goes okay?" I nod agreeing

" does he have any hot biker friends I can take for a ride?" she asks and I laugh hard

" I'm sure he does I'll be sure to ask him and let him know my friend is a hoe!"

she fake pouts " at least I'm getting some action"

I roll my eyes. s*x with Ryan wasn't great so I guess I don't see the big deal.

we enjoy our day and have a nice little lunch in the sand before sadie is too sleepy to stay any longer

" is your mom sure she wants her tonight?" I ask because I'm not really wanting to be alone.

" yes! she's leaving ina couple days and hasn't had any time so she's missing her" I nod my head understanding and love on my sweet girl some before I buckle her in addie car.

" okay tell her to call if she's needs anything!"

" she will. you just relax maybe invite your new friend for a visit" she winks at me and I roll my eyes

" oh shut up!" I say walking to my car.

when I get home it's so quiet and I hate it. ugh! I take a nice hot shower and throw on a big shirt and comfy shorts band let my crazy hair air dry I know the curls will be crazy but whatever I'm alone. I start a small fire in the pit outside and decide to have a beer and watch the sun set. I call and talk to sadie and tell her goodnight. as I sit my phone down it chimes.

neal- how was the beach? you girls have fun

piper- yes we enjoyed it. how was work

neal-not to bad. but for the first time in a long time I found it hard to keep my attention on it. kept wanting to text you but didn't want to be a bother.

my heart skips a beat! he's just being nice to sleep with me I tell myself. because why else would he be

piper- ha! well you aren't a bother. actually a good way to keep my mind busy tonight. aside left me to stay with my friend and her mom. basically it's her grandma.

neal- aw I'm sorry.

neal- would you mind if I came by? just to get to know you. you know without the phone. nothing more

oh my goodness. can I trust him? will he get here and hurt me?? my phone chimes again

neal- sorry I didn't mean to scare you. we can talk like this.

fuck it I decided to take a chance. something about him make some want to trust him.

piper- you didn't scare me. okay maybe a little but this is all new to me.

piper- you can come. but done judge my hair I took a shower and let it sit dry lol! but come through the back gate

neal- I make no promises on that. send me the address and I'll be there.

I sent him my address and I sit here trying to calm my heart. I call addie.and she picks up

" hey babe everything okay?"

" no! neal asked to come by to talk and I agreed now I'm freaking the f**k out! my hair is crazy and I'm already in my PJs!"

" calm down calm down. your hair is beautiful natural and I'm sure you look fine just relax and text me if you need me if not I want all the details Tomorrow!"

" okay thank you. how's sadie?"

she laughs

" she's still good. just eating cookies watching frozen with mama"

we hang up and I hear the sound of meals motorcycle pull into the drive and my heart rate goes back up. what the hell am I doing? I haven't actually talked with a man since ryan and that turned out horribly wrong!

I so lost in thought that when I hear the sound of the gate closing my body jumps. I take a long sip of beer and watch him make his way to the swing im on. he smiles at me making me melt.

" hey you. wasn't sure what you like to drink so I grabbed whiskey and some snacks" he says holding up his hands. I smile at him

" both sound good." I motion for him to take a seat and when he does his intoxicating smell hits me. he smells like a pure man with a mix of cinnamon. I take a deep breathe and look him over. he's in jeans and a dark shirt with some slides on. he looks sexy as sin. I blush at my own thoughts and look away from him

neal-gunner.

I'm trying to get this paperwork done but my brain won't stop drifting to piper. I have no idea what it is. I mean yeah she's hot but something about her has me drawn in and I want to get to know her. I haven't even tried to have a relationship since do caught my ex with another guys d**k in her mouth. I brought from my thoughts when blade walks in my office

" hey brother what's up?" I ask as he makes his self comfortable.

" how'd it go last night? with the waitress?"

" I got her number. trying to get to know her"

he nods. " just be careful. I've talked to a few people after what we saw last night. from what I've gotten from around town is she used to be in college but started dating that dude. some s**t went down and she ended up pregnant. from what I gather he did put his hand on her. more than once."

I reach out and throw a book across the room

" I'll find out from her and if it's true I want to have a word with him man to man."

he nods " I'm just giving you a heads up. she may not open up but I honestly haven't seen you interested in a woman since well the last one"

I nod understanding. we don't day her name because it pissed me the f**k off. but for some reason the thought of this bastard putting his hands on my little pixie pissed me off more. wait mine? why am I even thinking this way?!

I sigh " I'm not sure what it is yet"

he nods " just don't act like a prick she isn't a bunny"

I nod my head and he leaves. I fight the urge to text her. all day. as I'm finishing up I lock up my office and I feel hands wrap around me

" wanna have some fun prez?"

once I walk through the gate she takes my breathe away her hair has curls everywhere and she's clearly in her PJs.

" so I'm sorry if I'm bad at this. I haven't actually done this in a while" I say scratching the back of my neck and she giggled

" glad I'm not the only one nervous, maybe a couple drinks" she points to the whiskey

and to my surprise she take the bottle from my hand and takes a shot then passes it to me. f**k that was hot!! i take a shot and pass it back and she takes another before passing it back.

" so tell me about your self" I ask and she sighs

" um well I'm 22 and as you know I have a daughter. she's 2, I haven't uh actually dated since her dad and not much before that either. born and raised right here. that's about it" she shrugs and I nod

" well I'm 33." I pause waiting for her to freak out about the age difference but when she doesn't I continue. " I was born in texas, but my parents aren't great and I got into a lot of trouble so after the last time they sent me to my uncle. I've been with him since I was about 18. he helped me turn my life around and now all I know is the biker gang. I took over for him s few years ago and in case you are wondering everything we are involved in it legit. sometimes i have to be tough on people when they don't pay the money they should but it's not like tv I don't go around killing people, we mostly offer protection." I sigh and she nods listening so I continue " I won't lie to you and tell you I know how to even have a relationship never I don't. I have music playing on my phone low but honestly I could listen to his deep voice for hours. he passed me the bottle and I take a drink. " well my ex Ryan the one from the bar the other night hes sadies dad even though he believes be isn't. I was on birth control and he used protection because he was never faithful to me not anyone else and didn't want kids." I shrug " it started off small, he would control who I hung out with and when. then the first time he actually hit me was when I decided to have a few drinks after school with Addie, I always wanted to be a nurse but that's been put on the back burner for now.. uh anyways that night when I got to the apartment he was high out of his mind and he hit me telling me how worthless I was. of course he said sorry or whatever the next day so I stayed and covered it up because I was ashamed. but it never stopped only got worse. the night I found out I was pregnant and told him he accused me of sleeping around and he beat me pretty bad, I ran back home and finally came clean about everything with my parents. we filled the restraining order but he only got probation since his dad is a lawyer. so he still shows up from time to time at the bar but the guys are good at keeping him out. I also have a retrain order for sadie" I wipe a few tears away that have fallen

I watch her closely as she tells me how this bastard treated her and I try my hardest to be calm. I'm definitely gonna pay him a visit I think to myself. I slowly loft my hand and wipe a few tears from her face and softly rub her arm.

" your strong nothing to be ashamed of darling" I say and she smiles then she looks at the ground and sighs heavy I grab her small hand in my large one and smile at hoe perfect it fits.i rub my thumb across her hands trying to calm her and the she says " I have no idea what you are looking for or I guess want out of this" she points between us with her free hand then takes the whiskey bottle from me and take a drink then says " but before this goes any further into anything or nothing I don't know you should know I don't have alot of experience.. uh um well in the bedroom. I've only been with my ex and to be honest there wasn't much going on"

I take her chin with my free hand and make her look me in the eyes " trust me if and when it happens it'll be f*****g amazing" she blushes and I smirk at her. " I'm not sure yet what this is but I do know you have me feeling things that I haven't in a while and it's crazy because this is the first real conversations we've had" I say

as I'm holding her I feel her n*****s on me and I'm trying to hard to be a gentleman but I know I'm hard as a rock right now.

" I'm not very confident in that way certainly not with my own body. my belly is soft and I have a c section scare from having my daughter" she says and I pull back slightly to look at her flushed face " when I have my way with you I'm gonna worship every inch of your body don't worry to much as I said your pace" her breathing changes and she nods I catch her eyes looking at me lips so I take the chance and place a small kiss on her big plump lips. damn they feel amazing her arms slowly make there way around my neck and I keep one firmly on her back and take the other to grab her face and deepen the kiss as I do she gasps giving me the opening I need into her mouth. our tongues dance around together and it feels like fireworks are going off. she taste so amazing and I had no idea a kiss good be this good. " I can take it out if it bothers you, I've had it so long I forget about it" he says and I shake my head " no it's okay I think I like it, just surprised me" he smiles " how about a dance darling?" I look at him shocked " I haven't danced in ages" he takes my hand and helps me up he leads me by the fire and wraps one hand around my waist and takes my other in his large rough one. " I should be getting home, it's pretty late"

I look at my watch and see it's almost 2 in the morning

" I really don't think you should be driving after we drank so much" I say and he chuckles

" trust me I've driven with alot more to drink before" he replies and I shake my head.

" you can stay. I'd hate for something to happen. " he nods his head " are you sure I don't want to make you uncomfortable"

I shake my head " I'll be fine." honestly I'm just not ready for him to leave.

we out out the fire before making our way into my house when we walk into the living room he looks at the couch " I can take the couch if you want" be says and I take his hand and lead him to my room.

" it's just sharing a bed it can't be that hard" I say jokingly and he laughs and looks me up and down before saying " oh trust me it will be that hard"

I shake my head " oh hush and just get in bed" I climb in and he looks at me I raise an eyebrow

" pants or no pants?" he questions and I giggle

" as long as you have boxers on I'll be okay"

he nods his head and removes his shoes and pants I watch him closely. I notice he had a few tattoos on his legs and damn does he have a nice ass. he winks at me catching checking him out then he crawls into my bed. once he's under the covers he grabs my hips and pulls me to him I tense up " it's okay babygirl just let me hold you" I slowly wrap one arm around his waist and one leg over one of his.
