Ruby has spent all weekend staying at my house, her father never even checked in on her once, who does that? Anything could have happened to her. She only headed home this morning to get what she needed for school. Spending all that time with her over the weekend has made me really like her, making me get feelings for her I shouldn’t be getting.
“Ruby left early this morning.” My father said as I joined them for breakfast.
“Yeah, she needed to go home and get what she needs for school,” I said.
“Was her father not wondering where she was?” My mum asked.
“Nope! He doesn’t give a damn about her, has no time for her. That is why she acts out a lot.” I said.
“That is very sad and very wrong. She can stay here anytime she needs.” My mum smiled.
“Thank you,” I said.
