Alena’s pov

I get in Caleb’s room after I greet the two guards of ours and leave Ronald out with them to wait for me. I came to take some clothes for Caleb because he is going to start standing up from today and Leo is still with Noah and didn’t want to leave him.

It was a peaceful night to be honest and it was surprising get necessary for everyone! We all slept from what I know, Noah is officially out of danger, Caleb is much stronger already and he wanted to stand up earlier but I stopped him and Leo is more refreshed and cheerful.

I know about these three men (of mine, for Luna’s sake) because I was with them at hospital. Okay, I was with Caleb all night long but I talked to Leo before I leave, the doctor came and told me about Noah and this is how I know everything. I am hysteric since yesterday and this is why he came to inform me before anyone else and right now I want to ask something myself and you…

Do you believe I am worried about Noah?

I am acting like a mother I guess although I don’t like him and it is something I can’t control! My bond with Caleb is really working and I already loved Leo but with Noah… Things are complicated. I know he is Caleb’s son as well, he loves him and now I should be distant because of what has happened between him and Cora but I don’t understand why I have soften with him from last night…

Maybe I have to wait and see… I need to know what is going to happen with him, I mean if he changes or not!

Miracles can happen and if we are lucky he can forget about Cora, accept that she is not his and calm down so in this way it will be easier for all of us but what if he is so selfish and arrogant that does the same things again?

I won’t be able to accept him then and this is going to be a problem for all of us but most importantly for Caleb and me… And also, what if the boy doesn’t want me?

I have threatened him that I would kill him and we had a very bad start and…

This is the last thing that should matter you! You have so many other problems to deal with so focus on them!

I walk quickly to Caleb’s wardrobe and open it. He is a very typical yet perfectionist and everything is tidied according to the color and the style.

I guess I found someone like me…

It is not difficult for me to find something not so formal so I take a light blue shirt and a pair of jeans in the same tone and then I take some other things he asked from me to take him. When I am done some time later I close the wardrobe again, leave everything on the bed and take one small bag from a chair at the small living room to put them in and turn to walk to the bed again but I hit my knee at the corner of the small table and curse.

It hurts because the corner is way too sharp and the wood too hard. I leave the bag fall on the floor and rub my knee groaning. The last thing I needed was this but at least I am not wearing a dress today. After last day I am still dressed in casual jeans and fortunately I am not cut, not that it would be something serious but I don’t have time to deal with it.

It’s fine Alena, no blood so you are good even though it hurts a bit but you have lived through worse so you can go.

I kneel down to take the back and continue because I have to leave but my gaze falls on the inside of one of the table’s feet and I freeze. I narrow my eyes in realization still trying to believe my eyes and my lycan growls in understanding.

“RONALD!” I shout breathless with my rage rising and the next second the door opens and he rushes in panicked.

My eyes meet his and he stiffens knowing every look and expression of mine too well! He is sure that this is way too serious but he doesn’t know what I saw and I am ready to tear down everything.

“Aunt, what happened?” he asks in agony and I sign for him to kneel and see for himself.

He quickly does what I have told him and his eyes land on the specific spot I want. He immediately opens his mouth widely and his eyes turn black with his jaw clenching and the veins on his neck making their appearance.

He slowly turns his head to me and we groan in union outraged.

Cora’s pov

He pecks the crock of my neck and my body trembles, my skin shivers and I gasp overwhelmed still sleepy and quite lost.

What a nice way to wake up and how much more intense this feeling could get…

“Are you trying to kill me in my sleep baby?” I ask huskily and turn my body to his.

I have still my eyes closed but I listen to his low wicked laughter and I smile when feel his hot tongue licking the surely red, fresh mark of his on my neck.

Yes, your guess is right!

He did mark me and it was the best thing I have ever felt in my entire life!

It was everything else except from painful, it gave me a power I had never imagined and to be honest… Everything is different now, my body, my scent (I have his as well), the way I feel and think, my heart’s beat...

Now I am officially his and that’s what matters!

I feel complete for the very first time, with Noah everything was wrong but with Ivan… It’s like heaven! He was so gentle, caring and careful, it was like he was scared of hurting me or like I was too fragile for him but he was very cute and believe me I could repeat last night again and again!

And after he marked me… I am sure you know what happened next but there is a big difference as to what we had been doing before, I mean…

That wasn’t s*x, it was love, really!

It was slow, torturing in the best way there is, gentle, intense from psychological side, overwhelming and unforgettable! I can’t describe how I felt… The sparks, my heart, my emotions, my body, skin and explosions were all for him and he also seemed to be in the same condition with me!

He was even crying in the end, he was kissing me everywhere and it took him hours to stop shaking! He was thanking me all night long, he made love to me again and again and we bearably slept for about two hours and if you ask me if I marked him then…

I was way too impatient, he didn’t ask me to mark him and I had to respect it, I don’t want to pressure him, I trust him completely and after the first time we made love he told me that he wants me to mark him once everything is over!

Alright, I know it wasn’t very pleasing for me, I can admit it, I really wanted to mark him but I know he is saying the truth and he means it. Maybe he doesn’t want to pressure everything more but I felt him, now with the bond stronger than before I can’t doubt him!

Maybe he wants it to happen in the most peaceful and romantic way there is because in this way we will be officially one (we are already if you ask me but then it will be for good) and I somehow agree with him!

So, at the beginning I was a bit disappointed but when he told me I am the one for him and he wants me to mark him once everything is over I calmed down and forgot about second thoughts.

I also want it to be special, we need to be alone and I have my plans so…

I am more than sure that he loves me and he won’t betray me, what I said a while ago is true, I trust him blindly, I trust him with my life and I know he won’t let down me!

“She is crazier in love with you than last day…” I whisper shyly and he groans biting slightly his mark and I jump up moaning.

“Are you trying to kill me? Really now!” I ask gasping and he smirks with his eyes almost black from desire.

He moves both of his hands and buries them in my hair, I moan when I feel his hot breath on my lips ready to kiss him but he bites my lower lip gently and then starts f*****g it in the most sensual way there is.

At this point I have only one thing to say, I am dying and I am happy with the way I am leaving from this world!

“Ivan!” I protest and place my hands on his chest in despair.

“What baby? You like it, don’t you?” he asks and before I react he moves again on my neck and starts licking it slowly.

“You are a torturer!” I cry out in the lowest tone there is because we have two guards outside our door and he growls hungrily.

You have no idea how much I want to scream right now and how much effort I put to keep my mouth shut! I know the guys will be happy for us but it is awkward, this is too private and if he continues playing like this then I think I am going to explode and the entire palace is going to listen to us!

“I want to marry you the sooner… Do you know it?” he asks me through his teeth and stops kissing me to rub his nose on mine.

“I think I was aware of it but… How much to you want it to happen baby?” I ask impatient, he pulls back so that he can look at me and bites his lower lip devilishly.

“I want it like crazy and I also want kids with you but please the first needs to be a girl just like you! I want another little Cora in my life, a little Queen as adorable and unique as her mother!” he says getting emotional and I smile breathless in excitement.

Come on, he is so sweet and he loves me and…

“A daughter like me? Why?” I ask impatiently and he blushes.

He starts caressing my hair and neck, I feel small waves of sparks under his every finger and our breaths get mixed while we are looking at each other in the eyes. I love it!

“Because I need more light in my life Cora… I need to take part in something so magical because I want to be with you in everything! You are my light and I love you more than anything, I can’t live without you and… Nothing can be better than you being my wife and having a daughter that will be just like you!” he says touched and I pull him closer, kiss him on the lips gently and then he buries his face in my neck.

My heart is beating fast inside my chest from happiness and I close my eyes with some tears building up.

This was the last proof I needed…

And I do believe him with all my heart!

“Cora? Ivan?”

“What happened now damn it? Not again!” Ivan murmurs and pulls back nervously.

I am sure something serious has happened or else he wouldn’t have been here so early and the tone in his voice is more than enough to get worried. Ivan is in the same state of mind with me and he quickly stands up, puts on his trousers and runs to the door with me sitting up and covering myself with the sheets.

Okay, I am not ashamed when it comes to him, he is closer to us than the others and also… I am covered and we can’t wait so…

Ivan opens the door after he turns to me and I give him an approving nod and Ronald appears sweating and stiffening.

SHIT!

“What is it bro? Why are you here so early?” Ivan asks him in agony and Ronald sighs heavily.

“We all have to go at the hospital now… Alena and I found something in Caleb’s room!” he replies and I exhale worried.

I knew it was bad!

“What did you find?” Ivan asks next and Ronald raises his hand showing us…

A BUG!?

~some time later, hospital~

We get in Caleb’s room with Ivan and Ronald and find everyone here waiting for us.

It’s Caleb with my aunt, Noah with Leo (by the way Noah looks quite better and much calmer), Rosa with Jose and Natalie with Mischa and my dad with Owen and Chloe.

Alright, all the ‘family’ here I see and we are the last to come because Ronald came to us in the end and we rushed to get dressed and come here the sooner we could. We took no bath of course, we bearable blushed our hair (well this goes for me) and we put on casual clothes and took my phone (Noah has his since last night, Ivan gave it to Leo).

“What happened?” I ask quickly with everyone smiling nervously except from my aunt that looks ready to kill someone.

Um… Bad news! If she is acting like this then… I won’t like at all what is going to happen next!

“Sit kids! We have to talk all together!” my dad says firmly and Ivan leads me to the only available seat there is next to Natalie.

He stands beside me, all the men except from Noah and Caleb are standing up and the women are sitting while my aunt is next to Caleb on the bed. Ronald walks to my aunt’s side and places the bug on the bedside table without saying a thing and then he crosses his hands in front of his chest and my aunt clears her throat.

“Good… Now we are all here and I am sure Ronald informed you about the reason!” she begins and we all nod in union.

To be honest I am quite calm till now and I am saying this because Noah is here as well and I had thought it would be difficult and awkward, I mean Ivan marked me and our scents are making things quite obvious as to what happened last night. He doesn’t look so sad or frustrated, he is not looking at me or it is not annoying like before. This is good I suppose but I hope it lasts and he is not playing again or else we are going to have big problems.

“I found it in Caleb’s room by accident! So… I guess we know how everything happened last day…” she continues and Caleb takes her hand and gives it a squeeze.

“I and Noah talked in my room alone last morning. I told him to take my car and after a while I would take his! I am always very careful and I had been always locking my room so no one could get in without another key and…” he continues and pauses with my father growling in realization.

“This means that the maids could have done it! Who tells us that one of them is not a traitor? Adrian hired many new because of the occasion!” he states and we all nod thoughtfully.

I mean, he has a point but…

“What if the same thing happened with the drinks in mine and Ivan’s rooms?” I ask almost sure about it and they all turn to me surprised.

“It is obvious that the poisons were in the drinks from at least the day before because Natalie drank. Ivan said that he wasn’t sure about locking the door but who says that someone really got in that day?” I say next and Ivan sighs heavily.

“This is way too logical!” Mischa murmurs shortly.

“It makes perfect sense to be exact!” Leo says rubbing the back of his neck.

“We have to talk to Adrian! Maybe see the maids program these days, we have to know who got in your rooms!” it’s Noah’s turn to say and they all shake their heads in agreement.

“I will talk about it to him! And also… Our men are searching for other bugs in all the rooms of ours!” My aunt states and I nod in approval.

She is right! The same thing could happen to all of us…

“Alena, I agree but I think we also need to check all our fighters’ rooms as well! They can be targets like us, they are close to us!” Ivan says worried and Owen looks at my aunt like he is having the same opinion with him.

“Good! I agree, Ronald, go and tell everyone to do the same thing in their bedrooms!” she says turning to him and he leaves after he bows to her and me.

“And what about your room? Is Camilla there?” Caleb asks Noah with concern and he smiles weakly.

Something is happening to him… I know him, at least this is true even we like it or not! He is not very… Concentrated! He is thinking about something!

“She is still there from what I know… Leo will go to check the room later but… We can’t be so positive or sure that everything was, are or will be ‘safe’ in my room! This is something else I would like to talk to you about! You all need to know.” he says nervously and I narrow my eyes confused.

Leo is too serious, I am sure he also knows something, he was with Noah all these hours and they probably talked but Caleb is surprised and the same goes for all of us although we know that we can’t trust Camilla…

“What is it?” Jose asks first and Rosa gives me a worried look.

“I told Noah everything that happened last day while he was for operation… And last night when we stayed alone Camilla broke into the room and tried to attack him! She was screaming and threatening us, Cora’s men took them out or else she could have even killed Noah!” Leo replies in frustration and it takes me some seconds to realize it and growl.

That b***h is crazy and this is not a surprise for me but trying to kill Noah?

Well, this is a shock! Alright, she can love no one but this is… Unbelievable.

“I am sorry but I would like to ask you something Noah, like really! This is above me and I need to ask because you know her and we don’t!” Rosa says making most of us gasp because she really hates him but now she is talking to him and he nods confused.

“Is she crazy or something? You were fighting for your life and she came here to make a sense, she didn’t seem to care, no offence but this is the truth and the same thing and worse happened last night! How can she do all these when you are the father of her child?” she asks troubled and he bites his lower lip not annoyed at all.

Is he acting maturely or it is just my imagination?

“This is what I wanted to talk to you about because from last night Leo and I have been thinking a lot and I have some basic suspicions about her!” he says quickly and I lean forward locking my eyes on his with everyone focused on him as well.

“I am not so sure this child is mine and I am more than sure she never loved me so I guess this explains a lot, don’t you think?” he continues seriously and I blink my eyes stiffening.

FUCK!

Why hadn’t I thought about it? I mean about the baby not being his because I already knew she never loved him!

“And how did you think of it?” Chloe asks next.

“I remembered some things and also it is not difficult for someone to understand that she is thinking only of how to have power! It would be not a surprise for me to find out that she is also behind the bug in my father’s room!” he says and Leo nods with Caleb groaning in agreement.

“Look…” I start and they all turn to me while Ivan places his hand on my shoulder.

“I know she looks too stupid and I am aware of the fact that she is not a genius or a God to do all these but now with what you said… I don’t know but something feels way too wrong! If she has something to do with the bug then what if she has relation with the explosion and what happened to Caleb?” I say thoughtfully and he exhales heavily troubled.

“I know Cora but she can’t be alone then and… Wanting me dead is not helpful for her because the title is going to pass to Leo! I took care of it when she told me about her pregnancy… She won’t be the Luna if anything happens to me and the child is going to take the title only when Leo thinks that it’s ready so…”

“No sense about it! The last thing she wants is you dead! You are right!” my dad states interrupting him and I curse.

The b***h is crazy! We can never be sure about what is happening in her mind!

“I just want you all to have an eye on her, do not trust her. I know you don’t but do not believe anything she says or does from now on! And I will also leave the room with her… I am going to Leo’s and we have to check on all of my pack’s members! Who tells me that she hasn’t taken some of them on her side?” Noah says again and I think I can’t agree with him more.

He is right and he knows her better than us so we have to listen to him!

“Good! I will try to talk to everyone separately… Leo can do the same, Caleb and you as well!” Jose states and Noah nods.

“Thanks and now it is time to talk about what happened yesterday! I mean with my dad, the texts and the men that caught him!” he says immediately and turns to Caleb that clears his throat and caresses my aunt’s hand that looks way too worried.

“Everything happened just after you called me and told me to call Cora to come and meet you! You were close the city, I was in the forest but away from the lake waiting for you to call me and when you did and we ended our call I was about to leave and meet you at the lake. I also wanted to call Cora when a car appeared from behind me and to be honest I didn’t show any interest because I took their scents and they were two humans, a couple but they stopped next to me, asked me to help them find their way back to the city and before I understand what was happening I was drugged. I had gotten out of the car to show them from where to turn and leave. After that I just remember some masked men leaving me at the place Alena, Sebastian and Jose found me, one of them saying that the bomb was ready and then everything turned black again. I suppose they drugged me twice!” he explains and I take my phone groaning in frustration.

“So this is why I took a message from you, well, not you! Them!” I say and show them all his text.

“And then I also received one about Cora agreeing! I called him once but he didn’t answer me and I got worried!” Noah states showing the message in his phone and I also show them my calls to Caleb.

“So the one that put the bug must be behind everything but also that was not the only bug! He had perfect timing and the bomb in Caleb’s car exploded before Cora meet Noah! Someone had been listening to you from the beginning! Maybe there are more bugs in the cars!” Ivan says after some seconds in silence and we all (I mean it) growl furiously.

“Of course! There is no other explanation!” my aunt mutters and I get ready to speak again but one of Owen’s men breaks into the room breathless with a panicked expression without knocking and we all stand up in union.

I observe his face and my heart drops, I start sweating and a bad feeling appears out of nowhere but we are all here and…

NO!

One person is missing and…

“What is it Matthew?” Owen asks walking to him with Chloe following him and my dad turning pale.

“I… I am sorry… I have no idea what happened, they just informed me and… God!” he says quickly trembling and Chloe grabs him from his arms and shakes him panicked.

NO DAMN IT!

“WHAT HAPPENED?” she screams already getting suspicious and Ivan gives me a scared look.

“Someone kidnapped Cora!”
