Chapter 11

It's still early but Nyx and Magnus are ready to go. Since Nyx started schooling, he adjusts his own office time. He doesn't care if he is late or early. All his schedule now depends on Nyx's schedule going to school.

Nyx has no idea about it since all he knows, Magnus is the CEO. Little did he know, Nyx is the only person who bends and breaks that principle he is keeping in his company for how many years.

Last night, he asked Nyx about the time of his first lesson. He quickly dialed Mr. Cruz and asked him to reschedule or adjust the morning meeting. Mr.Cruz is going crazy now calling and making reports and e-mailed the important clients and members who want to meet Magnus whom he promised to give them time

But Mr.Cruz has no complaint, his salary at Mateo Corporation triples the salary he had from his previous company. The benefits and bonuses are really beyond expectation if Mr. Mateo likes your service and performance whether you are from a lower position.

Magnus is watching Nyx stepping out of the door and checking his notes.

"Your mobile?" Magnus asked before stepping out of the mansion.

"It's in here, Sir," Nyx answered while tapping the pocket of his bag and feeling if the phone is really in there.

"Check it well.." Magnus said as he felt discontented and doubted it.

"See?" Nyx showed the phone and that made Magnus smile.

Time flies and every day, Magnus never gets tired of sending Nyx to school. It's their daily routine during weekdays and during weekends, they spend some time playing video games but if Nyx has projects and exams, he will not bother him and give him time to focus.

Nyx doesn't care about salary and money because he is aware that staying and working in Magnus's mansion is his job. Based on the contract, he will not receive any salary in hand or cash.

Mrs. Mateo didn't clarify to him that Magnus will provide an ATM, and he can have a 50 percent salary. Nyx is not interested anyway because he wants to pay the bill completely and fast. Magnus is providing everything he needs in the school.

Nyx needs to buy some stationery and other school supplies from the bookstore. He will just message and enumerate the items to Magnus then after an hour, the delivery of supplies will arrive in the mansion. Everything becomes easy for Nyx and he is just aiming to complete his minor and major subjects so that he can graduate and find a better job after he fully paid the hospital bill of his father.

Nyx continues to sleep in Magnus's room as he always hears a dog barking between 9 to 10 in the evening. As soon as he hears the bark, whether he is in the toilet or the kitchen, he will fly to Magnus's room and hide.

He had no idea that it was just a recorded voice from Fairy. Chris can't bring Fairy to the mansion gate every night so he decided to put a speaker and set the alarm randomly using Fairy's bark.

Eight months later, Magnus and Nyx get used to their routine at night too. One night, Nyx was so drowned in watching a drama on Netflix. He just finished it and closed the TV. It's the weekend and Magnus is late for the first time. As soon as the door opened and Magnus entered, the loud bark of the dog echoed outside. Nyx, who is fixing the pillows, quickly jumps to Magnus's body.

"Nyx...it's just a dog...calm down..."

"Why is the bark so loud this time? Did you bring the dog? Please don't let the dog come near..." Nyx's body trembles in Magnus's embrace.

Magnus throws his briefcase on the couch and carries Nyx up to their bedroom.

Nyx yawns as he feels sleepy already and leans his jaw to Magnus's shoulder until he loses his senses and falls asleep before they reach the master's bedroom.

Magnus wanted to confess his true feelings with Nyx, he wants to tell how much he loves Nyx and it's driving him crazy. Every day and every night is torture to Magnus but in the meantime, he is contented with their setup as he doesn't want to distract Nyx's focus in studying.

One day, Nyx had only one subject for that day and he didn't mention it to Magnus. As he called his driver, he asked to bring him to Magnus's company.

Nyx doesn't understand but today, he wants to see Magnus and surprise him in his office. After what happened in that toilet one morning, Nyx didn't give any meaning to it and treated it as his punishment for playing like a fool that day. Indeed, it is normal to release if a man feels and needs it. It was his fault and he is now careful and never plays such teasing.

This is the first time he missed Magnus. While in the school earlier, Nyx read the messages one by one from Magnus and he is saving it, he never erased any of them. He questioned himself for a while and read the sender's name. Fuddy Duddy...why do I save it that way if the pet name I gave to him is Sir? Does he know that he is a Fuddy Duddy?

As he enters the private lift, Nyx happily hummed and Mr. Cruz quickly stood up when he saw a beautiful man for the first time in his life. For him, Magnus is pretty and handsome already, but the man who is approaching is an ethereal beauty.

"Hello sir, may I visit Mr. Mateo, I am his helper." Hearing the word helper, Mr. Cruz doesn't buy it.

"May I know your name, sir?" Mr. Cruz respectfully asked.

"My name is Nyx, I just came to tell him something," Nyx said and smiled. Mr. Cruz shakes his head in disbelief.

"No way..." Mr. Cruz mumbled. No wonder his boss is acting like an i***t smiling in the blank A4 size paper and later on, he will doodle and scribble the name Nyx. So he is Nyx...the name behind that scribbles and doodles.

Unaware, Mr. Cruz let Nyx go in after just 1 minute, he saw Nyx storm out of the CEO's office and quickly ride to the open lift.

Mr. Cruz taps his forehead and blames himself. He forgets that Mr. Mateo has a special visitor.

Magnus keeps dialing Nyx's mobile but no answer. Nyx switched off his phone intentionally. He hates receiving calls and reading messages today.

Nyx arrives in the mansion and starts to clean and after he finishes, he takes a shower and prepares dinner. He left a note saying he ate already and just stayed in his room and closed the door.

It's 9 in the evening, Nyx just finished his homework. He heard the door open and he heard noises and laughter.

Nyx covers his ears and covers his whole body with a duvet and starts to sleep, but he can still hear a loud voice from the living room.

"Shameless!" Nyx mumbled until he fell asleep.

After thirty minutes, Magnus knocked on Nyx's room. He didn't hear any response so he twisted the doorknob.

Magnus saw Nyx sleeping peacefully already but he saw traces of dried tears from the corner of his eyes.

Magnus runs his fingers on Nyx's hair and leans closer and kisses his forehead. Nyx stirs in his sleep and slowly opens his eyes. He quickly sits properly and speaks.

"I will not sleep in your room." Nyx pouted and laid back his body on the bed again turning his back from Magnus.

"Nyx...let's talk..." Magnus whispers to his ear.

"There's nothing to talk about.." Nyx answered under the duvet.

"May I know why you are acting like this?"

"Nothing, no reason at all."

"I don't believe you, Nyx."

"Then go away if you don't."

Magnus releases a sigh and slowly stands up from the bed. Before he could step, a bark from a dog echoed outside the mansion. Nyx quickly gets up from the bed and jumps to Magnus's back and hugs him tight.

"Quick! Let's go!" Nyx said while riding at Magnus's back and kicking his one leg to encourage Magnus to walk fast.

Magnus almost lost his balance but he smiles when he feels the warm tight hug from his back. Nyx is clinging like a koala on his body, with no plan of letting go.

Magnus reaches the aircon remote control and closes Nyx's room light.

While walking slowly, Nyx keeps staring at Magnus's face and leans his jaw on his shoulder.

"May I know why you quickly left the office?"

"I won't tell you." Nyx pouted.

"Are you jealous?"

"For what?"

"What did you see in the office?"

"I don't see anything that's why I left so soon." Nyx rolled his eyes and started to sulk again as he remembered what he saw in Magnus's office.

"Nyx, you are not good at lying." Magnus chuckles and stops for a while and holds Nyx's bottom to adjust Nyx's body to his waist again.

"Stop touching my bum..hmp!"

"Nyx, you know that I'm just making us comfortable or you will walk alone." After speaking, another dog barks can be heard, and instead of getting down, Nyx almost chokes Magnus from grabbing his neck tightly.

Magnus takes a deep break as he carefully starts to step one by one on the stairs.

Magnus recalled, his best friend Rein arrived from Korea and visited his office. They were chatting on the couch for a while and later on decided to have a picture taken.

Rein placed his phone on Magnus's working table and opened the camera to capture them through a timer.

As soon as Nyx entered the office and walked straight to the CEO's table.

"Fud–" Nyx halted as he saw an unpleasant sight caught by his eyes and quickly turn his back and run

"Nyx..." Magnus mumbled as he saw Nyx for a while but he ignored it. He will explain later when he gets home. Rein didn't notice Nyx who was looking and smiling at the camera.

Because they rarely see each other, Rein asked Magnus to have a drink and Magnus did not resist. It's been five years since the last time they got together.

When they arrive, Magnus is feeling nervous as he gets home. He thought Nyx was waiting for him and he invited Rein to his house to introduce Nyx.

Magnus quickly runs up to his room to call Nyx but to his dismay, Nyx is not there and realizes Nyx is already in the servant's quarter.

"Bro, I'm sorry. He is sleeping already." Magnus lies as he gets down."

"It's fine bro, next time. I should leave now."

"Ok, take care bro."

Magnus shook his head and as he tilted his head, Nyx was already asleep on his shoulder.

Magnus slowly opens the door and closes it. He bends his knees and slowly puts down Nyx's body on the bed.

Magnus cupped Nyx's face and kissed him on his lips. Magnus picks his phone and switches off the alarm of the dog barking outside and smiles.

He slid his body under the duvet and pulled Nyx's body close to him.

Nyx, just admits that you are jealous then I'll be the happiest man. I like you.

Magnus sleeps feeling high of his thought that Nyx is jealous of what he saw in the office.
