Saturday at work seemed to go on forever for Mika. Because of two important customers who had brought in their cars and wanted them back ‘the sooner the better’, he didn’t get out of there until almost eight that night, even though the garage closed at seven. By the time he got home he was more than ready to collapse. He took a long, hot shower, fixed something to eat, and took the meal and the book he was reading into his bedroom. He managed to finish eating, put the dishes in the sink, and get through one more chapter before falling to sleep. He awoke Sunday morning with a feeling of anticipation.
