''What... No you can not be serious,'' I let out as Dan's words confused me.
'' You can just fire me, you gave me a promotion just yesterday, what changed, why this sudden decision to let me go,'' I let out as I tried to hold back my tears.
'' This was beyond my control, Isabella, there is nothing I can do about this,'' Dan let out.
'' This is something you can do, Dan. You can not just let me go just like that. Did I do something wrong , yesterday's performance hitch was not my fault?'' I rumbled on and on until Dan stopped me.
'' Isabella, I know that, and my decision to let you go is not because of that, you are my best girl here,'' Dan said.
