Chapter 12

"Kira, remember I'll come in three hours. Make sure you're not drinking too much and if anyone offers you a drink decline." I nodded as Dylan warned me again for the millionth time before letting me out of the car.  "I'll be quick with my meeting and come meet you right away. Have your phone with you the entire time." He grabbed my wrist before I was able to run away.  "Yes yes Dad." I laughed as he shook his head and let go of my hand.  "You are such a handful sometimes you know." He tsked at me before rolling his eyes.  "Well it's because you're so protective over everything Dylan." I stuck my tongue out and fixed my dress. I wore a black body-con dress with some silver wedges, heels I decided would make me tired from dancing so it's a hard pass, paired with my YSL clutch.    "Kira, you're my baby sister. It's my job to be protective over you. Now again, three hours and if I'm not here I'll be sending Ben to get you." I nodded and watched as he rolled the windows up before driving off with Ben for his meeting. It's weird to be going to the club alone but honestly, it's not like I had friends and plus, Dylan said he'd join me in a few hours so I'm sure I can kill some time before he gets here.  "A whiskey sour please" I ordered over the bar and once I got my drink I tipped the bartender a fifty and his eyes immediately lit up. Dylan told me before, when we went to a bar together last month to celebrate me getting the highest score in my economics class final, that if we tipped the bartender early on, they'll always come to us first to get our drinks even if there are others before us.  The night got hotter and darker as the music got louder and more people piled into the club. Two hours in suddenly the DJ interrupted the dance floor with his announcement. "Ladies and Gentleman! Today is the opening day of our newest hottest club in all of Miami, Loco! Let me bring up the man of the hour!" I watched as a tall man with slick back brown hair walked up next to the DJ booth grabbing the mic from the DJ.  "Welcome! It's great to see so many people come out to our first opening day. As a celebration we'll give a round of free drinks out for the next hour!" Many cheered around me and started rushing to the bar leaving the dance floor much emptier than expected. I made eye contact with the man on stage as he stared at me since nobody else was around. I smiled and nodded my head while he looked stunned and I quickly turned away and headed outside. It was getting quite hot inside and I wanted some fresh air and compose myself as Dylan was going to come soon and pick me up.  "Miss Kiara?" I heard a voice behind me but ignored it since they're probably looking for someone else.  "Miss Kiara is that you?" I wasn't sure who he was calling but decided to walk away towards the open space outside of the club. I wanted some fresh air and quiet time as I can feel the alcohol in my system making me a little tipsy.  "Dylan is going to so get mad at me.." I mumbled before slouching on a seat outside. Dylan hated it when I got drunk because of how protective he is. He explicitly warned me that being drunk can get me into a lot of trouble. I tried to listen but that tip of mine for the bartender two hours earlier really did the trick and scored me many many drinks quickly.  Twenty minutes later I heard some rustling behind me but didn't bother to turn around as my head still spun in circles. "Boss she's the one."  "Kiara?" Again with that name. Who is this Kiara and why do they keep looking for her? "Kiara?" I heard the name again this time louder as the guy approached me. Within seconds I looked up to see a tall man, in a beautiful three piece suit looking very handsome, even more than Dylan honestly, with curly brown hair and well shaved face looking down at me. What's interesting is the small smile he made across his face and his eyes looking at me as if he knew who I was.  "Sorry bud, I'm not Kiara. you got the wrong girl." I rolled my eyes and attempted to get up only to stumble on my own steps with him catching me.  "Kiara you don't know who I am?" I looked up and studied his face then shook my head. "Dude I don't know you." I narrowed my eyes and slowly but successfully peeled myself off of him even though he felt so comforting and so warm.  "Kiara it's me Dylan." I studied his face closer and laughed. "You're not Dylan! Dylan doesn't have brown curly hair. Plus he's older, you're too young to be Dylan." I laughed and took my phone out.  "This is Dylan, at least try harder if you want to impersonate." I shook my head and was about to walk away when he grabbed my hand took my phone from me studying the photo again. "Kiara-"  "It's Kira. My name is Kira Harrison." I grilled at him and pulled my hand away. "You are Kiara. My Kiara." He firmly stood his ground and grabbed my shoulders firmly.  "What the hell are you talking about? Get off me!" I started to grab his hand but he easily overpowered me.  "I am not letting you go. You are Kiara. What is wrong? Are you mad at me? That I couldn't get to you in time? Is this why you were hiding these few months? I'm sorry love, please don't pretend that you don't know me." I felt his grip tighten but his eyes soften. Does he know who I am? "I have no clue what you're talking about. Let me go before I scream you pervert!" And before I could actually scream I felt a hand hit me against my neck and suddenly everything around me turned black.  Dylan Mile's POV "Boss she's the one."  I looked at the girl Gino pointed out and stopped in my tracks. Gino called me over out of nowhere twenty minutes ago saying he might have found Kiara and I dropped everything I was doing and rushed over here.  I peered over at the girl sitting down outside the club in our private outdoor area and studied her from behind. She didn't seem to move when she heard us coming outside and just sat there. I slowly approached closer and within seconds knew that it was Kiara after all.  "Kiara?" I called out and no response so I called out again, "Kiara?"  "Sorry bud, I'm not Kiara. you got the wrong girl." What is she talking about?  "Kiara it's me Dylan." I looked at her confused and upset but she just laughed.  "You're not Dylan! Dylan doesn't have brown curly hair. Plus he's older, you're too young to be Dylan. This is Dylan, at least try harder if you want to impersonate." She started to walk away and before I knew it I grabbed her turned her around and studied the picture on her phone. Just who the f**k is this bastard and how dare he pretend to be me and take Kiara away from me.  "Kiara-"  "It's Kira. My name is Kira Harrison." "You are Kiara. My Kiara." I tightened my hold on her and refused to let her walk away from me.  "What the hell are you talking about? Get off me!"  "I am not letting you go. You are Kiara. What is wrong? Are you mad at me? That I couldn't get to you in time? Is this why you were hiding these few months? I'm sorry love, please don't pretend that you don't know me." My hold on her tightened again, I didn't want to hurt her I just wanted to be with her now that I finally found her after all these months.  "I have no clue what you're talking about. Let me go before I scream you pervert!" I couldn't just let her go and the next thing I knew my body acted before I could think it through and knocked her out. I couldn't let her go, I had to bring her home with me. Maybe by coming home she'll return to the Kiara I love and know, not his Kira personality that she's making up.
