"Well your father kept me locked away for a year and then my mom and I were on the run for five years. I focused on training and helping Nicholas build his pack. The opportunity never really arose and... well... even though we weren't mates anymore I've always only wanted you Lil," he explains and I feel a sadness that I didn't wait for him. "Hey," he whispers noticing my sudden change of expression. "I didn't expect you to wait for me. I know the arrangement your father made. I knew you and your Alpha would eventually mate."
"I'm sorry," I whisper.
