*two weeks later*
I stepped out of my white 2016 Toyota Camry, the time read 7:50am. I had approximately 10 minutes to get my Starbucks and get to class on time. Which I knew wasn't going to happen. I stepped inside Starbucks and went to the cashier. "Coconut milk mocha macchiato please." I said digging in my purse.
"Name?" The cashier asked.
"Morgan." I pulled out a 10 dollar bill and told her to keep the change. I stepped over to the side and waited on my drink.
"D. East?" The lady called out reading the receipt taped to a iced tea. "Right here."
I looked over and seen Dave, the guy from the party two weeks ago. My heart started to beat fast, I was nervous. This was embarrassing, he completely dissed me at the party. I'm stared down at my phone pretending I didn't see him. I felt him getting closer to me, I could feel his breath on my cheek. "Hey Morgan."
I looked up and did a fake smile. "Hey......Dave right?" I asked trying to play it off.
He laughed lightly. "Yeah Dave." He looked me up and down and bit his lip, "You look good. Where you headed?"
I blushed but tried not to show it, "I'm mad at you." I said looking away.
He softly grabbed my chin and lifted it back towards him. "Why beautiful?"
I smiled and quickly wiped it off my face. "You played me at that party. I was trying to shoot my shot." I laughed. "Morgan?" The lady called. I grabbed my drink, said a thank you, and headed back to Dave.
He sipped his iced tea. "Well you made it baby girl."
I rolled my eyes. "If I made it I would've gotten more than just your name that night."
"I knew I was going to see you again." He shrugged. He pulled out his phone. "Store your number in my phone and I'll call you though."
I did as told and gave him back his phone, I looked at the time on my watch and groaned. "I have to go, I'm late for school." I decided to do him the same way he did me and leave before he could say anything else. I smirked at the thought of what I'd done and got in my car. I seen him leaving getting in an all white Bentley truck, cute car for a cute guy.

When I arrived at school it was only about twenty minutes left of first hour, I quickly got inside the building and up the stairs. The door was open and Ms. Wilcox was writing on the board, I tried to quickly slide in and sit in my seat without her noticing but she noticed without even looking.
"Miss.Hill this is your third time being late to class this week." She turned towards me and tilted her glasses a little more towards her face. "Why is that?"
"I'm so sorry." I cried. "I won't be late again I promise."
"I hope not because if one more bell ring and you're not in that seat it's a detention."
I mentally rolled my eyes, I'm so ready for senior year to be over with. Even though it just started, I really want it to end. After her class, I met up with Asia at our locker. Alexis is out of school, she graduated just last year. "Wassup girl?" Asia said hugging me.
"Guess what happened to me earlier." I said in an excited tone, I raised my eyebrow and allowed Asia to guess two completely wrong answers. "No and no. I saw Dave at Starbucks."
She widen her eyes and gasped. "Dave from that summer party Dave?" She asked. I nodded and she jumped up and down. "Omg what happened!"
"Nothing!" I laughed. "I gave him my number, I guess all I'm waiting on now is a call....which he said he's going to give me."
She high-fived me and we walked to second hour together. "I can't wait for you to get to know him girl..."

I paced back and forth in my room biting my nails, that's a bad habit I have when I'm nervous or impatient. Which in this case I was both, it was only 6pm but I was waiting for Dave to call or atleast text me. Did I accidentally type the wrong number? Did I not save it? So many thoughts were running through my head.
"Sis you okay?" I looked up and seen Alexis. She lives with us since her parents kicked her out at only 13, also we call eachother 'sis' because we're just that close.
I sighed in frustration and sat on my bed. "I seen Dave at Starbucks earlier and gave him my number." I picked my phone up and checked it again. "He still hasn't called yet."
She sat next to me. "Wait a minute, you seen Dave and you didn't tell me?" She laughed and scoffed. "You fake bitch....well did you atleast get his number to?"
I shook my head no and gave off a sad look. "I should have shouldn't I?" She nodded and stood up. "Wanna try to find him on social media?"
"Sis all I know is Dave." I whined. "I don't know any last name nor nickname I just-" I got interrupted by my phone ringing. "I think this is him!" I squealed. I quickly answered the phone.
Hello?
Morgan....what you up to?
Nothing just chilling. Wassup.
I wanna see you.
Right now?
Yeah. Can you come up to the studio?
Sure...send me address and I'll be on my way in a sec
Alright bet
I hung up and looked at Alexis. She had a huge grin on her face, "Have fun and be safe." She said before winking and leaving out my room.
After about 2 minutes he sent me his location, I put my phone on the charger and went inside my bathroom. I showered and brushed my teeth, I put on my black lace VS undergarments and searched in my walk-in closet for something casual to put on. I decided to put on some jeans, a white jersey, and my white adidas. I re-flat ironed my hair and sprayed perfume on my body before leaving out the house and getting into my car.
15 minutes later I arrived at a small building, I got out my car and walked inside. It was a man at a desk with a computer and a phone, "Hi." I greeted. "I'm uh, looking for a friend?" I cleared my throat. "Dave."
He nodded. "Room 4 baby girl." I said thank you and walked in the back until I seen a door with the number 4 on it, the door was closed so I tried to be respectful and knock.
"It's open!" I heard. I walked inside and seen a guy sitting in a chair by a lot of equipment and Dave in the booth with headphones on his head. I sat in a chair in the back, he looked over at me and smirked, I bit my lip and waved hi and he nodded back then turned his head back to the mic. "Let's do that last part over Joe."
The Joe guy started a beat over, Dave bobbed his head to it and started to rap. He was actually pretty good, I liked it. After about 10 minutes he got out of the booth and gave me a hug. "You look nice." He complimented me. "Smell nice too." He sat in the seat next to me.
"Thank you." I smiled. "You sound great."
He nodded, " 'Preciate it." He turned his head towards Joe. "Play it back."
Like it's written in Chinese it's hard to read her
I poured an 8th in a liter knocking Aaliyah
It's funny I fell in love with her Instagram
I'm picturing how I'ma f**k her, If I get to meet her
I don't get to nap
What you do for a living?
Shit, my business rap
We were all listening to the song, bobbing our heads. Dave sat his hand on my lap without looking at me, just straight ahead listening to his record. After it was over Dave got up from the seat. "Give me 10 Joe."
Joe got up from his seat and left out the room, Dave went inside a mini fridge that was on the side of the room and pulled out a bottle of Hennessy. He grabbed two cups and poured a little in both and handed me a cup. He walked over to all the studio equipment and began messing with it. "So Morgan. He started. "Tell me a little about you."
I walked closer towards him and sipped my drink. "Well I'm 18, senior in high school. I draw, I like to have fun. I'm kind and sweet." I laughed. "That's all I can think of now...your turn."
"I'm a 19 year old dropout. School just wasn't for me, I started rapping when I was 17 and loved it. Everyone knows me around here, I kinda own these streets." He said tapping his fingers on the board.
"Well how come I never seen you until that party?" I asked.
"You in high school. Of course you wouldn't know me, I'm saying the real OG's in the streets know who I am...the real niggas." He said again.
"W-w-well...." I stuttered. "Why were you at a high school party?"
"I had some business to take care of." He took a sip of his drink and grabbed my hand. He sat on the board and licked his lips, looking at me up and down.
"Take a picture it'll last longer." I joked. Without hesitation, he pulled out his phone and began taking pictures of me. "Wait it was a joke." I said covering my face.
He stopped and looked at the pictures he took, he nodded and put his phone back in his pocket. "Imma need these at night."
I laughed and we started talking about any and everything, our backgrounds and childhood. When Joe came back, Dave brushed him off and told him that they were done for the day. But we stayed inside the studio, he kept replaying his new record as we talked and talked and talked. Time flew by so quick, because when I looked down at my phone it read 2am.
