Fiona - POV I turned sharply, glaring at the hand gripping mine, stopping me from stepping into the portal. His grip was firm, unyielding, and though his expression was stoic, his dark eyes were filled with an almost mocking calmness. "Let me go, Mr. Dukan," I snapped, my voice dripping with venom. "You’ve already kidnapped me—what more do you want? Let. Me. Go." His lips curled into a smirk, one that sent a shiver down my spine. “You’re still human, Fiona. You can’t fight me. So why’re you being so bitchy about it?” His hand moved to my neck in a flash, and his fingers pressed tightly against my skin, cutting off my air. I didn’t squirm.
