Chapter 29

Jake's POV

I don't know what to say. I can imagine how he is feeling. First he lost Stacy to me and now he has lost Clara to me. I can imagine what is going on in his brain right now. He has every right to hate me. I have no idea how to make this right.

"Eric", I say walking towards him.

He has not moved an inch since she walked away on him after dropping a bombshell of a secret. And the thing about liking Stacy, well that one is obvious. Eric loves Stacy. Me for one thought as friends then I realized it was not what I thought when I send Clara his way I thought he had moved on. The fact that he didn't deny when she accused him clearly shows it was not an accusation. And I know Stacy doesn’t like him me being with her might help avoid his heart being broken.

"I she okay?" He asks.

"Yeah Stacy is okay, am sorry man. I didn't know it's me she wanted", I apologize keeping my distance.

When it comes to rage. My brother Eric is so unpredictable. He might be smiling at you when he really wants to beat the hell out of you. I know it's not my fault it can't be. I did what was best for him and am not apologizing for caring.

"Good, you heard Clara. You have everything bro", He says walking away briskly.

I think I will have to get myself a ride home. It’s going to be more awkward with Stacy and Eric in the car. They will gang up against me for bringing Clara in their lives. I go back to check on Stacy. Am glad she is not hurt. As for Clara, I don't care and I have never liked her Anyway.

"Where's is your brother?" She asks when she sees me.

I really don't know what to tell her. She has calmed down and I can't continue adding salt to the wound and lying won't help so I give her something to nibble on.

"He left with Clara", I say

"But you went to find him didn't you? What took you so long?" She asks.

"I ran into a friend, can I get you anything?" I inquire looking for an excuse to leave and also to change the topic.

"If you can't get me Eric, nothing", She says.

The fairest five take her away. She doesn't say goodbye or anything I know she is mad at me and she also wants to ask Eric if indeed he has feelings for her. That changes everything. Eric's answer will determine whether I keep her for long or not. The only way I can win this is if Eric denies having feelings for her or else am not so sure if I got it right but the last time I checked she was not into him. Not even close.

"Our deal", Carol says from behind.

Damn it. Here she is. Maybe with everything that's going on I could use a couple of orgasms am just so stressed and it's not getting any better.

"Your place?"

"Yeah, am home alone", she says smiling happily.

"Let's get out of here", I suggest.

The good thing is from the field to the parking lot is a short distance and secure too. There is less interference and a less chance of being seen by anyone we don't want to see us.

Eric's POV

Am just confused. I can't tell if I should feel sad that she dumped me or celebrate now that I won't have to dump her. Am feeling both. Sad and happy. Sad because the cat is out of the bag and now I have to do something I have been longing to do and get answers I ever wanted. Positive or negative they will decide my fate once again. I have waited long enough so negative will not do me much justice.

It's useless to resent him. He gets everything without trying so hard like the rest of us and losing to him has become something very usual. It doesn't startle me. But in this case I can't help but be mad at him. Now he has left with Carol creeping behind the classrooms to go sleep with another girl when others are fighting for him and speaking of many others I can see Anita walking towards me. Maybe I should just lower his burden and tell her everything.

"Am trying to reach your brother any idea where he is?" She asks doing the hair flip thing.

Why is it that am not attracted to her? I mean everyone is even my ex Clara. Sounds obnoxious to call her an ex. I have just never been attracted to her sexually. If we were that close she could have been me in our relationship with Stacy... Just a friend.

"No idea he just disappeared, you know Jake he doesn't settle", I answer maintaining eye contact.

Her eyes are like Mrs. Authors. Penetrative and able to make you talk even when you don't want to. She puts on a sympathetic look. Am giving in here. He is a d**k but still my brother and the guy code has to be followed. Always.

"Okay, stop looking at me like that. You got a car?" I inquire hoping she doesn't so I can drop her home without dropping her back.

"No, I have not renewed my license yet. In almond dad used to drive me", She explains.

"Okay, I think he went home. Cool of we Check?" I suggest.

When it comes to going home I know she can't resist the urge. She is mums favorite among all Jake's girlfriends. They just clicked like right away even Jake can't explain.

"I can't wait to meet her. Let me text my dad not to pick me up", Anita says getting her phone from her bag pack.

She is gorgeous you can't be unnoticed walking beside her. And she likes this thing, holding your arm as though you are couples it's irritating but very fulfilling at the same time.

"Am sorry about your girlfriend", She says when we get to the car.

I freeze. Who the heck would has told her that one? We broke up like a few minutes ago. Less than an hour.

"How...”

"Please, it's on everyone's lips right now. Your girlfriend fighting with your brothers girlfriend and then she dumps you for him", Anita summarizes the whole incident interrupting me.

"And you are not bothered by that?" I ask getting her the door.

We strap in our seat belts and I turn the car around driving slowly out of the school compound. I really want her to keep talking but am afraid of asking her. She might take me to be the nosy type beside its none of my business if she really wants Jake back. It will be one hell of booster for me as they fight with Clara, maybe, just maybe I will get a shot at Stacy. I love her. For as long as I can remember she is all I have ever wanted.

"I know Jake, he is handsome, athletic, a celebrity. You too Eric. I have never thought of Jake being better than you. The thing is you guys will always have girls around you but there is one you can't just let go. As for Jake it's me. Am sure of it as for you... ", Anita stops re apply her lip bum.

I hate the suspense she is creating even though I know the answer.

“Stacy, you will never let go of her. My advice, now that you are so green when it comes to women, shoot your shot now. We will be helping each other what do you think of that?" she asks putting back her make up kit.

Sounds like a plan. If she can get Jake away from Stacy, depending on how true her claim of Jake never letting her go then am willing to team up. If there's something I can do to have Stacy I'm willing to do it. Even if it means going against my brother.

"Yeah, so what's the plan?" I ask curiously.

"Leave it to me", she says with finality.

When we get home, it's quiet. Mum's car is in the driveway. I know Jake can't bring a girl home he is not that stupid. They must be at Carol's. Her parents are hardly around most of the time. She has a lot of freedom.

"This place hasn't changed that much", Anita says admiring the surrounding.

"That means you haven't been gone for long", I say as we walk towards the door.

Anita presses the bell. Mums voice can be heard from upstairs.

"Coming, Eric is that you?"

"Yes mum", I shout back.

"Have you skipped school you are ten minutes earlier your usual time", her voice gets closer.

When she opens the door Anita flashes a smile. Mum can't control herself they grab each other happily hugging and kissing like best friends. I can't stand here and watch this reunion of blondes. I squeeze myself through and go upstairs. Then I realize I have forgotten something. Looks like I'm going to drive back anyway. How will she get home? I was so engaged in Anita's charms that I didn't realize I left Stacy.

"Catch up later am going to fetch Jake we left him", I lie to mum and Anita.

They haven't heard me. That makes it even easier. I can sneak out fetch Stacy and sneak in with something... Hopefully Jake.
