Chapter 3

(Narah POV) "Are you sure? We can find another way" Caspian said making me roll m eyes. I lost count of how many times he said this. "I told you Caspian. I will be fine. Earth is in another dimension. Even if he tried to search on earth he won't be allowed to find me since I will be inside the earth guardian's kingdom." "Ok…. But you call me as soon as anything happened" he said, his voice stern. I couldn’t help but let out a short laugh. "I promise." I gave him a side hug before walking to Ashley. "Take care of this i***t. And take care of yourself. Call me if you are in danger. I am still your protector" I winked at her. Honestly, I feel like I will cry any moment but I didn’t want anyone to see it. I can't show any weakness especially in front of an earth guardian. I glanced at Prince Malcolm who is responsible to escort me to earth. After the meeting, the earth guardians went back to earth. Prince Malcolm came back today to take me home. "We need to go" he gave me a small smile but I just gave him a void stare. He has been smiling since he came here. From the size of his smile, I feel like Tristan has told them I am his mate. But I am just glad they didn’t say it to Caspian. It would be hard to break it off with Tristan if Caspian knows about it. I bit my lips looking at the portal. I don’t want to break it up with him but I can't do anything else. I am putting his life at risk. "Alright. Let go" I said after taking a deep breath. I entered the portal and in a second everything around me went blank. Then as I took a step forward everything changed. I was in front of a huge house. My eyes landed on a tall guy with a pair of beautiful forest green eyes. Tristan. Unlike the last time's royal suit, he was in casual clothes. His hair was styled in a messy way making him look younger. "Welcome to earth, Narah" he smiled wide at me. I only nodded my head before looking at the building behind. Unlike the castles in our world, this was made different. The whole place was made of glasses! I tsked at the infrastructure. "Is all the castles on earth like this? Vulnerable and with no privacy?" I asked making him look at me in confusion. "What?" A second later he burst into laughter. "What? Why are you laughing?" His laugh was genuine and heartily. It made my heart skip beats but I made sure I kept my face void. "I am sorry," he said between laughs. He then straightened his back and cleared his throat before looking at me with a wide smile. His behavior is creeping me out. This was not the guy I saw yesterday during the meeting. "This is not technically where we live. It’s just a lounge house. Most celebrations we have are conducted here. The house is that way." He said pointing to the path to my right. "Come on. Let's get you settled and after that, I will give you a special grand tour" he winked my way before walking forwards. Ok. Definitely someone different from who I met yesterday. ********* "This is where I live," he said as he stopped in front of a house. Not a castle but a house. A huge house. As we entered the house I was awed by the architecture. The whole place was in a black and white theme. I have never imagined a house would be made in such a combination but honestly, I am surprised. This place actually looked amazing. Beautifully elegant. But the place was empty. "There is no one else here?" I asked making him shrug. "Nop. My brothers have their own home and my parents live in the main house." "What about servants?" "I have one who just comes in the morning. She cleans the house and leaves by evening" he replied making me look at him like he grew 3 heads. "No Servants? What about Maids? Butler? Guards? Protectors?" I started giving him the list of persons usually found in a standard kingdom but stopped upon hearing him chuckle. "Calm down, Narah. Let me help you by summing up everything. We live completely different from your dimension. In fact, each dimension lives differently. While your dimension has a monarchy rule ours is more of a democratic. The leaders are elected by the people. It is not hereditary." He smiled seeing my confused face. "With time you will slowly understand. For now, I will show you to your room. Tomorrow morning we will go to the main house. I have to go to work in a few houses. I have a meeting. Malcolm will accompany you till I come." He continued but I stopped him. "You’re a businessman? As in you work? How do you have time to rule the earth?" "Once again, earth and your dimension work differently. I don’t rule the earth. I protect them. It's why we are called earth guardians. My duty is to protect the earth from attacks of other magical dimensions. I am considered a king among the magical creatures on earth but to the rest of the world I am just an ordinary person" By now I feel like my head was exploding. I should have read something about the earth and its lifestyle but now it's too late. "Narah" he called as I looked at him. His face was now looking serious. "Yes, King Tristan?" He sighed and took a few steps towards me. I tensed at how close he is. "First of all, call me Tristan. There is no need for a title. And second" he paused and looked at me straight in my eyes. "You do know what we are right?" His question got me off guard. I mean I knew one way or the other he would bring this up. But I was not ready. I thought I was but now that I am in this situation I don’t know what to say. Everything about him made my brain hazy. I couldn’t even think properly. This is dangerous. He is too close. His smell is intoxicating me. I snapped out of my panic thoughts as I felt a hand on my cheek. Shit! The sparks are not helping in my situation. "Narah?" His voice was low and sexy. My heart just skipped a beat. I need to escape. I did the only thing that came to my mind. I used my powers. Big mistake. I blasted him. He hit the opposite wall and groaned grabbing his back. The pictures that decorated the wall fell on the ground, its glass shattering to pieces. The floor was filled with water from the flower vase. "I am sorry….." I muttered as the door opened. "Tristan!" a voice came before Prince Malcolm came running in. "I am ok" Tristan coughed out while waving his hand. "Take Narah to her room. I will be right behind you" he said. His brother looked at him in worry but still nodded his head before turning to me. "Come with me"
