6 - Leaving the Forest Pack

1025 Words
Alexandria      I spent the morning packing up my important belongings, then I had my mates carry most of my stuff out to my car.  I had a separate suitcase with the things I wanted to have for my first three days at the Silver Moon Pack with Brady.       I was excited and sad at the same time, and I didn't like the fact that I was feeling both emotions.  I hated the thought of not being with Liam while I was with Brady, and vice-versa, but I couldn't help feeling excited about spending time with them in general.     Once everything was loaded into the various vehicles, I gave each of my siblings a hug, then I gave my mum and dad a hug.  Of course, they both had tears in their eyes, and that made me feel a little bad.  I was going to miss all of my family members, but I was more than ready to start a life with one or both of my mates.      I was relieved to know I would have my twin brother Alexander nearby, since he found his mate, and she also belonged to the Pine Tree Pack.  However, I was a little surprised that he was going to her pack, since the she-wolves usually joined their mate's pack.  I think he did that so he would be closer to me, and I was thrilled that he made that choice.     After I told everybody bye, I walked to Liam's black Ferrari with him, then we engulfed each other in a warm hug.  I could tell her didn't want to leave me, and I didn't want us to be apart either, but I didn't see any other options, so I had to roll with it for the moment.     Liam kept his arms securely wrapped around me for a few minutes, while he buried his face in the crook of my neck and took several deep inhales of my scent.  When he lifted his face from my neck, he gazed into my eyes and smiled, as he affectionately murmured, "I'm going to miss you these next three nights, but it will make our reunion that much sweeter."     I gazed into his gorgeous gold orbs that were swirling with love and adoration, as I sweetly replied, "I'm going to miss you, too.  I wish this didn't have to be so complicated.  I hate having to split my time between you two like this."     Liam reached up and softly caressed my cheek, as he sympathetically stated, "I know, mate.  I wish things could start out different, but it's not going to stop me from cherishing any and all of the time that I get to spend with you."     "Thank you for being so understanding.  I can already tell that you are going to be a great mate," I appreciatively remarked.     Liam nuzzled his nose against mine for a second, then he cheekily replied, "You're welcome, beautiful.  I will do anything for you, mate."     There was no stopping the smile that stretched across my face, as I happily remarked, "You're the best, Liam."     Liam returned the smile, before he smashed his lips against mine for a passionate goodbye kiss.  When he pulled his lips away from mine a minute or so later, he huskily mumbled, "You and Brady be safe traveling to his pack."     I cupped his cheek in the palm of my hand and softly murmured, "We will be safe.  You do the same."     He leaned into my palm, as his hand covered mine, then he happily chirped, "I am always careful, my love."     As soon as the last word left his mouth, I leaned up on my tiptoes and gave him a kiss, then I mumbled against his lips, "Until next time," followed by another kiss.     The second I pulled my lips away from his, I spun on my heel and quickly walked over to Ace's silver Mercedes Benz, that Brady was leaning against.  He looked to be off in a daze, but it didn't take him long to notice I was walking toward him.       He was quick to straighten his posture and put a smile on his face, while he opened the back door of the car.  Once I reached him, Brady motioned for me to climb into the car, as he enthusiastically asked, "Are you ready to go have some fun with me?"     I flashed him a small smile and cheekily replied, "You can definitely count me in," then I climbed into the car and buckled my seatbelt.       Brady climbed in beside me, then he scooted as close to me as he could, while still being able to buckle his seatbelt.  Once he got situated, he glanced over at me and cheerfully offered, "You can lean on me anytime you want, mate.  It's going to be a long ride."     Right away, I leaned against him and got comfortable.  I knew how long of a ride it was from visiting my Aunt Andrea and my cousins, and I had no objections to getting closer to my mate.       During a good portion of the ride, we talked about all the things we liked to do for fun.  When I heard him say he still liked to pull pranks on people, I got so excited.  I always loved joining him and James when we were all young pups, and I was looking forward to seeing how much he had progressed with his prank tactics.     Brady thought it was awesome that I liked to paint and draw.  It had always been a passion of mine, and I was really good at it.  Whenever I would get mad or sad about something, it was usually my go to thing, unless I was so sad or mad I couldn't concentrate on anything.     Halfway through the ride, I drifted to sleep and took a nap for a few hours.  When I woke up, we were only an hour away from the Silver Moon Pack, and my excitement quickly grew to epic proportions.  Not only was I going to spend quality time with my mate, I was also going to see my cousin Andre and his mate Lacy.
