As I watched my mate leave with her other mate, I was consumed with sadness and anxiety. I hated the thought of us not being near each other, but there was absolutely nothing I could do about it at that moment. I had to be understanding about the situation if I wanted the chance to be with her.
Since we were traveling in the same direction, I made it a point to stay close behind their car, so I could make sure nothing bad happened to my mate on their way to the Silver Moon Pack. I would have gone with her, but Brady made it more than obvious that he wanted to spend time alone with her. I could understand why, but that didn't mean I had to like it.
Once they pulled off the highway and headed down the path to Brady's pack, I kept driving toward the Pine Tree Pack. The rest of the way there, I couldn't get my mind off of Alexandria. Not only was my mate drop dead gorgeous, she was sweet as honey, and her melodious giggle was like music to my ears.
By the time I reached my home pack, I was exhausted from the long drive, and all the worrying about my mate definitely didn't help with my exhaustion. I didn't even bother to grab my luggage from the car. Instead, I walked into the pack house and headed straight to my suite, since I was in no mood to talk to anybody. All I wanted to do was lay down and sulk about my mate not being here with me.
As soon as I reached my suite, I headed to my bedroom and immediately stripped down to my boxers, before I climbed under the blanket on my bed. It was nice to be back home, but it would have been better if my gorgeous mate was with me.
After I reached over and turned off the bedside lamp, I gazed up at the ceiling and thought about the time I spent with Alexandria. Every kiss we shared was magical, and those sparks that flowed between us felt wonderful. I must have laid there for at least an hour before I finally felt my eyelids start to grow heavy, then it was just a few more minutes before I drifted into a deep sleep full of dreams about my gorgeous mate.

It was nice to hear my mate compliment the cleanliness of my bedroom and bathroom. That was something I had always stayed on top of and took pride in. I hated for my room to get even the slightest bit messy, and I refused to let soap scum and dust accumulate in my bathroom. I was thrilled to see Alexandria happy, and I was determined to keep that beautiful smile on her face.
After she admitted to me that she liked our house, I curiously asked, "What would my beautiful mate like to do this evening?"
"Can we visit Andre and Lacy?" she eagerly asked in return.
I flashed her a genuine smile and replied, "Of course we can."
She squealed with happiness, as she grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the door, while enthusiastically chirping, "I can't wait to get to know Lacy better."
I chuckled at my excited mate, as I walked with her through the house to the front door. Of course, when my mum saw us heading out, she was quick to curiously ask, "Where are you two running off to?"
"We are going to visit with Andre and Lacy," I informed them, but I didn't get the chance to say anymore, because Alexandria was still pulling me with her toward the front door. She was surprisingly strong for a she-wolf, but I wasn't the least bit intimidated by it. In fact, I found myself relieved to know she was so strong.
Once we got outside, she immediately headed in the direction of Andre's cottage. I had only visited Andre a few times since his dad got killed, and I felt a little bad about that, but I knew Andre understood why.
Right after that, James Jr. left to be closer to Bethany, but he found his mate at her new pack. Since then, I only got to see him every once in awhile. James was my bestfriend growing up, and I missed him like crazy, but I was hoping that Alexandria being here would help with the loneliness I had been feeling since my bestfriend moved away.
On the walk to the cottage, Alexandria curiously asked, "Does James Jr. or Bethany visit very often?"
"They have only visited a few times since Dr. Braden's memorial service. I think it makes them sad to be here," I solemnly mumbled.
Man, I missed my bestfriend. I needed to go and visit him, but that's hard to do when I didn't have a car of my own. I'm sure my dad would let me drive his car if I asked, but I didn't want to leave them without a car for any extended amount of time, if it wasn't absolutely necessary.
Alexandria immediately frowned upon hearing my words, then she shrugged it off and nonchalantly stated, "I would probably be the same way if my dad was killed."
After that, a comfortable silence fell over us, as we walked the rest of the distance to Andre's cottage. When we got there, I knocked on the door, then we waited for somebody to answer. We only had to wait a few seconds, then the door opened to reveal a smiling Andre. Right away, his smile widened, as he cheerfully greeted, "Alexandria? It's so nice to see you again. What are you doing here?"
My mate giggled at her cousin, before she cheekily replied, "Me and one of my mates came to visit with you and your mate."
Instantly, his eyes widened in surprise, before he turned his attention to me and curiously asked, "You're my cousin's mate?"
I flashed him a proud smile and happily answered, "I am Alexandria's fated mate, and I couldn't be happier about it."
Right away, he engulfed me in a brotherly hug, as he gushed, "This is so awesome. I've always considered you family, but now you really are a part of our family. This is great news."
After he released me from the hug, he engulfed Alexandria in just as friendly of a hug. She immediately returned the hug, as she excitedly asked, "Where is your mate, Andre. I want to get to know her better."
Andre chuckled as he dropped his arms from around Alexandria, then he motioned for us to follow him, before he walked back into the cottage. My stunning mate flashed me her beautiful smile, then she grabbed my hand and pulled me inside with her.
