Chapter 5 Head aching, eyes stinging, thoughts foggy, I forced my head upright. My stomach churned and I swallowed rapidly as I worked to keep the contents inside where they belonged. I attempted to shift position, to place my hands on my stomach to help quash the nausea. I couldn’t move; my arms were somehow pinned to my sides. I forced my eyes to open, vision bleary as I looked around. I was still in the dining room, strapped to the only chair to survive the destruction within the estate.
