Maureen was right. I do need to start opening up to him. I saw he was fighting to hold his wolf back, and I know he did it for my sake. Even after learning who my ex was, he still was willing to protect me. I didn't fully understand how powerful Oliver actually is, but I'm guessing by their reactions and the few things they said he was more powerful than i ever imagined. I felt first hand how violent he could be.
I got outside the pack house and saw him in a distance near the tree line. I took off running, hoping I could catch up to him. When I realized he was too far ahead and I didn't stand a chance, I called after him. "Landyn, wait." It took three or four times before he finally turned around.
