Ben's POV
I knew something was happening before their hands started to glow.
I felt prickles all throughout my body. It was painful, and I knew it was painful for them to. You could see it all over their faces. But they were fighting for me, and I was going to do the same.
I never thought that those two together were the key to waking me up. I was starting to think that this was it for me.
I watched Lily and Maureen lose consciousness, and I found myself doing the same somehow. Even my subconscious was having a hard time staying awake or whatever state I've been in.
I heard light beeping of a machine. For once in a long time, I felt like I had control over my body.
I slowly and painfully opened my eyes to a bright light above my head.
