Chapter 8 Friday after work, Shane caught the bus home to Mona’s as he had been doing for the past three weeks. He noticed a bit of a spring in his step as he alighted from the vehicle. Tomorrow. All he could think about was tomorrow. His new life would start. His life with Michael, the man who had taught him how to love. And be loved. He crossed the main road. The smell of fish and chips filled his nostrils, and he considered buying some for dinner. The fact was, he wasn’t hungry.
