Finally, ten days after he’d moved into Mona’s house, Shane got the phone call he’d been waiting for. “You’re talking to the proud owner of a new house,” said Michael. Shane could hear it in his voice that Michael was beaming. “That’s fantastic. When?” “This morning. The money came through from the sale of my house so I can now finalise the purchase of the new place.” “How long will that take?” “I’ve got the money, so only a day or two.” But in fact, it took another ten days.
