“I stand by what I said. Ty has a gift for making you smile, and you’re more relaxed with him than you were with Chris. A lot more. You have an incredible talent for sensing the moods of people around you. I think that’s what makes you such a gifted singer and actress. You can soak it up and exude it and make everyone around you feel it, too. Do you get what I’m saying?”
She nodded. “Chris was uptight, so I was uptight. Ty is mellow, so I’m mellow. Or… mellower. I’m still unwinding a bit.”
“Which is perfectly understandable, so give yourself a break.”
