"This is going to be your house from now on." Xavier calmly whispered giving her a glance as she stood there, at the edge, marvelling the sight from the doorstep. Hesitation and excitement shining in her eyes.
He smirked at that. Even though people hated him but they could never disagree that he had the richest and unique taste in everything.
As he took another look at her he couldn't believe that they finally completed the month-long procedure in a week. It wasn't that difficult considering he was somewhat a famous person and people moved on his flick of fingers.
She hummed shyly still not meeting his eyes and tightened her hold on the luggage she was holding and he really felt like taking her hand in his and comforting her but he wasn't sure that she would appreciate that.
"Let's go now," He said looking at her. She nodded her head and he walked ahead and noticed that she was following him already.
"Marzia!" He yelled as soon as he stepped inside and he noticed her flinch at that and shift on her feet. She looked like a scared Bambi. He turned around his shoulder and gave her a comforting easy smile though it wasn't like him to do that.
She had some kind of effect on him. From the first time, he saw her in that home helping a little girl with planting trees he just stood there and noticed her. His eyes were unable to just get peeled away from her.
As soon as his PR manager and his best friend, Liam suggested that he should adopt someone because that's the only way they can cover up his scandal and portray him in a light he reluctantly agreed.
"Yes... Yes, sir" His housekeeper responded, emerging out of the kitchen. He rolled his eyes as she was huffing around and then staring at Bella with her eyes narrowed.
"This is Bella. She'll be staying here from now on. I want you to look after her and just...see whatever she needs should be available." He said in a stern tone looking at her. She turned to look at Bella once and then nodded her head.
"Sure sir." She automatically responded.
"Bella" He called out looking at her. She turned her head towards him and tilted her head cause he towered over her.
"This is Marzia, she's our housekeeper and she works here from morning seven to evening seven. If you need anything just ask her. Alright?" He said while adjusting his blazer. The teen nodded her head still not saying anything in response. He sighed at that.
He understood that it must be difficult for her to adjust to the sudden changes but it irked him to see her so quiet. She didn't even speak much to him in the car nor when he asked her questions back at that home. She just gave one-word answers and he strained his ears to hear them. Her voice was angelic but the fact that she was hiding it annoyed him.
He should talk to her about the rules. But first, he needs to freshen up.
"Marzia show her the way to her room. I'll just go freshen up. Yeah?" He asked and then coughed, his throat scratching up at the dryness. He swallowed before looking at his housekeeper again to which she nodded her head.
"Bella..." He called out turning towards her and gave her a nod. She just gave him a tight smile and that was it.

"f**k f**k f**k" He cursed at himself when he looked at himself in the mirror of his wardrobe.
When he thought of bringing her home, adopting her maybe he should have considered that it was going to be a bit difficult. But seeing her so innocent and silent was killing him. She was so submissive. He shook his head. What was he thinking?
After stepping out of his Armani suit he picked his casual clothes which were his black full-sleeved tee rolled up near elbows and some grey joggers. He tucked his messy hair not even bothering to comb them just took one last look at himself in the mirror.
He should shave, he noticed looking at himself. With a sigh, he strode out of his room.
When he found out that the home was ready with all the paperwork he asked Marzia to clean up the room across of him because he felt that would make them comfortable.
He walked inside the room and the first he noticed was the strong smell of cherries. They were strong, dominating the entire room and he inhaled sharply looking at Bella who was sitting on the bed with her hair wet and lightly drying them with her towel.
How long was he gone? She was sitting in long leggings and some loose shirt, he didn't like the way the clothes were looking on her. But then his eyes travelled to her face and he clenched his fist.
She was so pretty with pink lips a bit swollen because of chewing on them so much and her cute button nose and her green eyes narrowed as she was wrestling with her towel. She was small for her age, not malnourished just a bit short.
He knocked on the door twice because he should respect her privacy even though she just left her door open. She jerked at the sound and raised her head to look at him and quickly stood up from her seat.
The way she scrambled, scared and so agile had him smirk a bit because he loved when people feared him but he didn't want her to be scared.
"Bella" He deeply rasped as he walked closer to her and noticed that she was clutching nervously at her shirt. He exhaled.
"Listen I know this is all new for you but I don't want you to be scared of me. Can you try that?" He softly asked and was surprised at his own tone. She meekly nodded her head and met his eyes for the first time and he noticed that her eyes were crinkled by sides.
"Good. Now there are few rules you have to follow. Yeah?" She nodded her head softly when he noticed that her shirt slipped a bit away from her shoulder. He knows he shouldn't notice her bare skin but it was just there and her milky skin was devoid of any strap. She was not wearing a bra. Jesus! He closed his eyes at that and shook his head.
"First and foremost I want you to talk to me whenever I ask you something." He stared at her and before she could say anything he continued, "You'll be given a phone tomorrow which you'll carry everywhere and I hope that you will take care of that. And you are not allowed to go out by yourself..." She widened her eyes at that and opened her mouth to maybe tell him off but he shook his head.
"I mean alone... If you want to go anywhere Chris will take you. The one that drove us here." He clarified in a no-nonsense tone. She nodded her head.
"And if you are not allowed to go anywhere without informing me. I know you might not like it but there are people out there who don't like me very much and I would hate myself if anything happens to you because of that." He completed and heard her hum. She nodded her head though he could see a bit of fear in her eyes for that.
He didn't have any special rules prepared or anything. He didn't think through but he was listing down the things he remembered at the time.
"Oh and about your education... You can start online course this term because the school has already started. So maybe you can decide where you want to study next term." He said while blinking his eyes. He heard her sigh.
"Don't worry I have downloaded the courses in your laptop. Just maybe go through them whenever you are free." He added pointing at the laptop that was set on her study table. She nodded her head. She was staring at him with a small grin at the corner of her face after she saw the laptop on the desk.
"And we'll go shopping tomorrow because I have work today..." He trailed off his eyes gawking her body once more. He was going to hell. She nervously chewed on her lips and nodded.
"One last thing. You are going to call me daddy from now on. Is that clear?" He asked crossing his arms across his chest and staring at her. She gasped lowly and then looked at him.
"Answer me, baby. That's the first rule." He gritted trying to hide his smirk. He was going to hell but anyways he had time for that. He just was trying to make her feel comfortable. That's all.
"Yes daddy" She croaked.
