Aaron’s POV
A bubble of curiosity formed in me as I watched Mia fidget with her napkin nervously after she just declared to me that she wasn’t happy in her marriage with Eric. Her words caught me by surprise, both because even though I had a hunch about it, I wasn’t sure until she told me, and secondly, because she had blatantly revealed something so personal to me.
“I told you! She deserves to be with us!” Shadow howled in me as his big, furry tail wagged happily.
“Not now, Shadow! And for your information, it doesn’t change the fact that she is still human,” I replied before I pushed him to the back of my mind.
