Lightning flashed across the night sky as thunder soon followed and strong beads of rain slammed against the window. Yet, my sweet mate slept soundly as I stood watch over her. Part of me felt guilty that I had left her alone and that I wasn’t with her when she received the threat, but I couldn’t deny the Alpha.
