It was still dark when we arrived at my house, just outside Catalla. It was hidden a little from the outside world, with a lot of forest around it, but built at the edge of it. Liana walked beside me quietly, not saying much. The hope she had had when we had snuck inside the castle had taken a great hit, and I knew she wasn’t really sure what she was going to do now. I didn’t blame her. I truly had no idea what she was going to do now, either.
So, I let her have her peace. It was easier for me as well. I wasn’t much for talking either, and so I didn’t say anything until we arrived at the small house and opened the door for her.
