The princess sat across from me, a fire crackling between us. She was nibbling on a portion of the rabbit I had shot earlier with my bow and arrows and then roasted. While I wasn’t a master with the bow, I had enough skill to bring down a rabbit.
After a full day of riding, we had both been hungry and exhausted when we finally made camp in the forest.
“Do you think I could perform some magic in this body?” she suddenly asked, her gaze fixed on me as she finished eating.
