I can hear some footsteps coming not far from the place I sleep.

I saw a group of people in dazzling armor comes into the dungeon. I guess they are a punitive force from a big guild. As the number of dungeons increased along with the number of dungeon diver, guilds are made to make it easier for them. They are taking care of the menial things like scouting the monster inside the dungeon and comes out using Fairy’s wing. As a guild, they have backers that won’t hesitate to spend money on them as long as they brought back results.

Looking at their grey-colored uniform along with the symbol of lions’ head plated in gold, they are from the Lion heart’s guild. It is one of the most famous guilds right now due to their sheer numbers of dungeon divers. Boasting almost 5,000 official members, the power in number couldn’t be ignored.

It seemed to me that they have scouted the dungeon before. There are 50 of them and their level also doesn’t seem to be low.

I guess my ticket out of this dungeon will be resting on their shoulder. They regrouped for a bit before moving together. I followed them because I want to know how big guilds operate.

“A goblin sighted 40 meters in front.”

Someone who seemed to be a scout of the party alerted them. At the front, a bald man bringing a large shield with him immediately moves forward and letting out a roar.

“《Taunt》!”

It was a skill that is forcefully attracting the aggression from the monster in the area so they can only attack the skill user.

While the goblin is preparing to attack the bald man, an arrow was released and it hit the goblin in the leg, sending it tumbling forward. Not long after, a barrage of lightning element spell falls down on it and burning its body crisp.

“Jacob, good job in noticing the enemy from afar. Baldur, it was a waste to use taunt skill on a single goblin. Diane, your accuracy is good as always and Thea, your lightning bolt is spot on and powerful. Alright, let’s move again and don’t get complacent.”

“Sirius, you are too stiff. What’s wrong with using a taunt against a single goblin? I can raise the skill experience and besides it won’t be long since I would be able to use it again.”

“Baldur, even though this is a goblin dungeon, we should still be careful. We don’t want any accident to happen. Yes, you can use taunt again later but pay attention to your mana.”

“Yeah yeah… Whatever you say.”

The bald man called Baldur seemed to be arrogant from what I’ve heard. This party leader most likely is that man with a serious face, Sirius. I wonder if they really conclude this dungeon as goblins just because there is a lot of goblins? Did their scout found out about the chimera? Or it will be something out of their league?

Silently following behind them, I can roughly see how a party will acts.

There is a scout who is walking in front, looking out for a monster and traps. It seems that the one who becomes a scout has a detection skill or enhanced vision.

A shield-bearer mostly will act as a tank in front is taking all the aggression from the monster while the rest of the party member attacked the monster.

Melee attackers behind the tank, making sure that the monster doesn’t reach their party member in the back while dishing out damage.

Ranged attacker such as archer and spell user is the main damage dealer of the party.

There are two people wearing a robe which I suspect to be a healer since they carried a staff and a book on their hand. So far, they only cast some buff spell but didn’t get the chance to use any healing spell.

If it took me three hours to clear all the goblins in the dungeon, they only needed one hour due to their numbers and efficiency.

“Sirius, there is a branch ahead. Which way should we go? Left, or right?”

The party leader looked down at the map on his hand and spoke: “There is no record of a branch here. Did the scout forget to draw it or is it a newly dug cave?”

“I don’t think that it is the scout fault. I believe that the map for this dungeon was bought from another source.”

“Alright Jacob, can you scout the situation in front for us?”

“Leave it to me.”

It seemed that this party didn’t know the truth about this dungeon having a chimera inside. Either the party that sells the map to them has malicious intent or they are also oblivious to it. I couldn’t care less as something really fun was about to happen.

Not long after Jacob goes inside to check on the situation, he immediately rushed back as the party saw him running while out of breath.

“Jacob, what happened?”

“Si-si-Sirius! *huff huff* th-th-there’s chimera in front!”

“What? Chimera? How can that be?”

There’s a lot of commotion coming from the party as soon as they heard what the scout has to say.

“Jacob, don’t joke with me, is it really a chimera?”

“Why would I make a joke concerning our lives? It really is a chimera and a high level on top of that. I was still far from it but its already standing up and sniffing the air trying to sense me. I immediately run after seeing that.”

“If it’s really a high-level chimera then we can only blame our luck for encountering it. Did all of you brought fairy’s wings?”

Sirius asked the party but most of them shook their heads.

“Damn, I thought it was only a goblin dungeon so I didn’t bring any fairy’s wing with me.”

“Me neither, I didn’t have enough money to buy one so I don’t have one with me right now.”

“Sh*t! If I knew it would be like this, I would take the fairy’s wing that my girlfriend forces me to take.”

Sadly, there is no medicine for regret. I watched the party goes into half panic mode while I also feel a familiar presence.

That stupid lion is here. Looking at the saliva coming out of its mouth as it roared. It was ready for a feast.
