It takes about 4 hours for the monster to respawn. I had enough rest so I go for another round of killing again. This time, I almost lost my composure when I saw that the chimera actually moves from its nest. It was hunting a goblin and dragged its corpse back to its lair.

I guess that it still needs to eat. I wonder if I could take advantage of that or not. Because right now, I honestly didn’t see any hope for me to get out of this situation. Aside from killing the goblins and level up myself, there’s nothing I can do.

Every 4 hours I go out to kill the goblin and return to rest. With every round, I managed to do it faster because of the level up and a new skill that I got.

Right now, I am still in a predicament. Besides finding a way to get out of this dungeon, I didn’t know how to loot the monster. Did I need to collect their corpse or bring their body out with me? For sure I won’t be able to sell them to a dungeon merchant because I doubt the merchant will notice me. I heard about the online market but I didn’t know which part of the goblin to sell. Goblins head? Ear? Eyes? Because I didn’t see any part of the goblin that is worthy to be salvaged.

Since the chimera ate the goblin, I wonder if I should try to eat it too. If my ration goes out and I have no food behind, I might be forced to eat goblin’s meat to survive. Looking at their green skin and hideous appearance, to be honest, I lost all of my appetites.

I was looking at the chimera again and after eating the goblin, it went to sleep. Should I try to attack it now while it’s asleep?

I approached it again and surely this time I am stronger than before as I have leveled up and gained a skill.

The chimera that is sound asleep immediately went into a rage as it received damage. Learning from my experience of nearing death because of a wild attack, I immediately run backward away from it.

The damage is increased because of my skill and increased stats; it wasn’t as negligible as before. I think I can do it sooner or later after several more levels up. If I learn another one or two skills, I will be more confident in facing it.

The chimera looked around but as it couldn’t find me, it is grumpily going back to its original spot to rest. As for me, I returned to the entrance and waited for the goblin to respawn before killing them again.

Another two-spawning session and I leveled up once more. The knife mastery also leveled up once.

Knife mastery now gives 2% of extra damage instead of 1%. There’s another worrying problem though. The kitchen knife that I brought from home has become chipped and dull. I wonder if I would get weapons from killing goblin.

I never think about it before but I think I could actually loot the goblin. They are sometimes spawned with a wooden club on hand but some of them carrying a small knife. I guess I should take it from them. It was better than nothing. I tried to walk back through the body of goblins that I killed and sure enough, I found a small knife.

I take the knife and surprised that I can actually see the status of the knife. I tried to see my kitchen knife again and this time I can see its stats.

「Kitchen’s knife (F rank, common): Attack+2, durability 3/50. 」

My kitchen knife is near its breaking point. Good thing that I realized it. I also saw the rank of the weapon. F rank the lowest rank out there and common, the most common rank there is. I heard that one of the best relics found is A rank sword 「Excalibur」 and the grade is 「Unique」. I wonder if I could get that type of item one day.

Whatever, at least now my damage is once again increased because of the knife I found. I guess I should sleep for now. Although I rested in between the spawning of the goblin, my mind is tired. Let’s hope tomorrow I will see some hope in getting out of this dungeon.
