Chapter 8 Checking Out Our Bodies!

866 Words
The car pulled into the Metropolis area, and things around started getting busier. Eve's mood, which had been low, began to lift, and she looked curiously out of the car window. The Metropolis, with its tens of millions of people, was the most bustling place in the country. Countless folks came here looking for hope and opportunities. It was prime real estate, and the fact that Yellen could build an entire estate here said a lot about his clout. "Master, the escort's here," Forrester broke the silence in the car. Yellen gNanced ahead, and soon a dozen vehicles with the family crest surrounded his car, escorting them to their destination. A skyscraper reaching into the clouds, the Andrew Tower. After parking, Forrester got out first, opening doors for both Yellen and Eve. Stepping out, Eve looked up at the towering building, realizing once again that her life was about to change drastically. She turned to Forrester, waiting for him to lead the way as usual. Having taken care of Eve for years, Forrester understood her unspoken request immediately. "Mrs. Andrew, follow me." As the transparent elevator ascended slowly, Eve's surprise grew. It felt like they were flying straight into the sky, with the vibrant Metropolis and blue sky spreading out below them. Overwhelmed by the sight, she felt a surge of life within her, and involuntarily stretched her arms, soaking in the warm sunlight. Yellen couldn't help but admire her beauty, a softness in his eyes even he didn't notice. ***** The Andrews were truly the top dogs in the entire Metropolis. From lavish reception rooms to balconies over thirty meters long, the building was impressively large. It housed countless high-end facilities for entertainment and work. As Eve wandered through the maze-like floors with Forrester, she couldn't help feeling overwhelmed. She was sure she'd get lost in this building someday. Thinking about it, she couldn't help but miss the familiar estate. Finally in the master bedroom, Eve breathed a sigh of relief, eager to rest her legs. "Mrs. Andrew, this will be your new home. I'll arrange for a maid," Forrester said, turning to leave. "Wait..." Eve stopped him, making a request with little hope. "Could you find a girl this time who likes to chat and laugh?" Thinking about the previous maid, Eve got a headache. She was just a normal person who needed normal interactions. Forrester smiled without making any promises and left. Eve sighed dejectedly, then saw Yellen appear at the door. "Aren't you supposed to be busy?" she asked, suddenly rising from the sofa. Yellen looked at Eve, who had suddenly become alert, sensing she was like a startled rabbit. "I came to see you and to check out our bedroom," Yellen said playfully. Eve was taken aback for a moment, then tried to hide her discomfort, even suggesting they could sleep in separate rooms. "The master bedroom's spacious, perfect for you alone. I'll find another room nearby," she said. Yellen frowned, walked toward Eve, and asked, "Do you think married couples should sleep apart? Or are you unhappy with me?" His tone hinted at danger, a silent threat. "I'm not unhappy, I... just thought it might disturb your sleep," Eve said reluctantly. The thought of spending the night with Yellen made it hard for her to breathe. After all, he'd mentioned divorce yesterday; there was no need to stay together. "Okay, let's drop it," Yellen cut her off, ending the discussion. Eve clenched her hands tightly by her side, suppressing her unease. With some time before nightfall, maybe she could find a better way to convince Yellen to agree to separate rooms. "Pick out a nice dress; I'm taking you out for dinner." Yellen gNanced at the wall clock to check the time. Eve was surprised and happy to go out so soon. She gNanced around, then focused on the suitcase with her personal things. It seemed the maid had delivered their luggage before they arrived; they were quick. But when she pulled out a few dresses to hang up and choose from, she noticed Yellen didn't seem to be leaving. "Could you give me a moment alone?" Eve said, a bit embarrassed. "Alone?" "I need to change," Eve said, looking uncomfortable. "I don't get it. This is my room too; why should I leave?" Yellen's hand went to his suit buttons. "Besides, I need to change too." Eve stared at Yellen in disbelief, thinking he was deliberately causing trouble. "Then I won't leave either. We're married, right?" Knowing Yellen wanted a divorce, she hoped this would make him leave. But what she did was pointless. To Yellen, it seemed like she couldn't bear to lose her status. "Then I guess I'll have to do it right in front of you..." Yellen's voice trailed off. "What?" Eve nervously swallowed. Yellen swiftly started undressing, tossing his tie aside and unbuttoning his shirt one by one... Eve stood there, unable to look away from his body. His powerful, muscular form with smooth, healthy skin and perfect proportions made Eve's heart race... Suddenly, Yellen stopped and saw Eve staring at him, lost in thought. He reached out, pulling her waist and drawing her close.
