"What the hell, Sophie? Where are you?" Ethan’s voice was sharp with frustration. He thought he had calmed himself down before this call but he couldn’t help the annoyance rising up in him. Sophie took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. "I'm at my mom's place, Ethan. She needed me, and I needed to be there for her." Ethan's grip tightened on the phone. "I told you, you couldn't leave. We have an agreement." Sophie’s voice trembled slightly but remained firm. "I know we have an agreement, Ethan, but my mom needed me. I had to go." Ethan’s anger flared. "That doesn’t make sense Sophie. You can go visit your mother from here. I’ve never stopped you from doing that.” Sophie sighed, “I know.” “So why did you move out?” Ethan asked, his pitch rising by the minute. “You think you c
