Chapter 20

Clayton's Perspective

As we pulled into my parents driveway I jumped out of the car and ran to open the door for my beautiful mate.

"Thanks, babe," she said with a smile as I took her hand.

"Anything for the most beautiful girl in the world," I replied as we stepped onto the brick sidewalk of the house where some of the smartest, most important members of the pack lived; the house owned by my parents.

"Oh who would that be?" She asked in a cute voice.

"That would be my one and only, the alpha's luna" I said as I turned her body to face me and pulled her as close to me as our five pups would allow me to and I kissed her right in front of the overwhelmingly large window that took up the entire wall of the main living room in the house. I didn't care and I could tell that she didn't either. The older pack members knew all about the connection between mates. When we needed a breath, I dropped to my knees and kissed her stomach five times, one for each pup. She was looking at me with a huge smile on her face and I thought to myself that this would make an amazing picture with the scenery of the garden and the large glass window. Then, as I returned to my feet I decided that very thought was definitely something Angel would think of. I smiled at that thought and she looked into my eyes lovingly. Then, I took her hand and we continued walking up the sidewalk until the large door was opened from the inside and we were greeted by my mother and her seven corgis. She ran to hug Angel, and then me. I watched her smile as tears of joy started to fall from her eyes, she knew my news now. We entered the house and I saw my entire family in the room in front of me. My mom, my dad, Chase, Caden, and even Caleb in the corner. When I noticed Caleb, leaning against the wall in the far corner of the room, our eyes locked and he shot me a glare that told me he hadn't changed a bit. Then I saw his eyes move to Angel and my arm moved protectively around her waist. However it encouraged him to continue, knowing that it bothered me and his eyes moved from her shoes to the top of her head and he scanned her body. I looked away and ignored him, my parents wouldn't appreciate us fighting here.

"Mother, we have some news to share with you," I said.

"I can see that!" My mother replied hugging Angel again. Chase and Caden stood from their chairs, along with my father and all of them congratulated us repeatedly.

"Well, Angel, I see that you've finally settled down," Chase said to Angel with a joking smile. He was a good friend of an ex boyfriend of Amber's and he knew Angel in some of her darkest days.

“And I see you still haven't," she said with a smile as well, earning a laugh from my family.

"Actually, I'm in a serious relationship right now," Chase said with a crooked smile.

"Right. Does that mean that it's lasted more than a week or is that pushing it?" She said jokingly.

"Please. A week is so two days ago," he said. Then everyone started laughing again. "Congratulations, kid," he said hugging her.

"Thanks," she said hugging him back.

"Congratulations, Clayton," Caden said taking my hand and pulling me into a half hug. "I'm happy for you, man," he added.

"Thanks, Caden," I replied as Angel pulled away from her hug with Chase, laughing. I wrapped my arm around her waist and she smiled.

I knew that it would be hard on my brothers to have even more males in front of them to become alpha, but they seemed happier than I could've ever imagined. Right now, if something were to happen to me, Caleb would be next in line to become Alpha but, of course, my father would never let that happen and Caden would take my place. But once my first son was born, they would lose all chances of ever becoming alpha. If something were to happen to me then Lucas, my beta would take over until my oldest son came of age and then my second and third son would be next in line.

"So have you discussed names for my grandchildren yet!?" My mother asked.

"Not yet. But we wanted to talk to you guys about it," Angel replied. "We're having two girls and three boys," she added.

"Alright! Well, sit sit! Let’s talk!" My mother said gesturing for us to sit on the couch. I sat and pulled Angel into my lap and wrapped my arms around her. Caleb shot me a crooked smile over my protectiveness but Angel simply smiled. Caleb continued to stare at her and while everyone was sitting down I turned her towards me and kissed her lips. She smiled on my lips and kissed my cheek. Chase sat beside of us and I was nearly positive that he saw the game that Caleb was playing with me from across the room.

"I'll sit over here to make sure that they keep it PG in the family room," Chase said earning a laugh from everyone in the room with the exception of Caleb. He turned and left unnoticed by everyone but Chase and me.

"So what were you guys thinking?" My father asked us.

"Well, for the two girls I really like Layla and Ana," Angel started. "But I also love Alea and Addison. And I don't know why but I love the way that Jenna Nicole Thompson sounds. I can't decide!" She said happily as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"I like Jenna Nicole," I said as I kissed her cheek. "But I'd like anything you could come up with," I said to her.

"I really like Layla," my mother said.

"What about Layla Marie? After Angel Marie?" Chase proposed with a chuckle.

“It's beautiful," I said as I marveled over the beauty of Angel, even something like her middle name was so perfect.

"I also really like the name Laiken," my mother said. The chatter around us picked up quickly as my family discussed all of the possibilities for our new family. I just sat there and took it all in. Everyone was excited about this next step and I still wasn't sure that I had even fully processed the first step of meeting Angel. I felt so blessed to be with her and because of everything happening so quickly I felt like I couldn't even appreciate just how lucky I was. But I guess this was probably the way that all wolves feel upon meeting their mates because of the speed of everything. All that I knew was that this was the happiest I had ever been.

"Well, we have lots of options to consider for the girls, but now we have 3 boy's names to discuss," I said.

"What about Connor?" My mother said and my brothers and I started laughing.

"Please, mother," I said, still laughing. "No names that begin with C!" I finally got out. Angel placed her hand on my neck and laughed.

"Well, alright then, maybe Luke? Or James?" She tried.

"Not James," Angel said laughing. "Maybe Xavier?" she offered.

"I love them all," I said kissing her cheek gently. It just filled me with joy how happy this whole pregnancy had made her. She seemed worried at first but I could feel her mood shift and she was much happier now.

'Babe, we should be going soon,' I said through the mind link.

‘Aw, do we have to already?' she asked as she turned and faced me. She flashed her beautiful smile at me and a piece of her long blonde hair fell into her face and she quickly ran her fingers through it, returning it to its original place.

'Angel, baby, you know what that does to me,' I thought to her as I looked into her ocean blue eyes. She was so perfect even her eyes sparkled when she smiled. I couldn't imagine anything happening to her.

"Alright, guys, Clay and I should really be going," Angel said politely as she stood on her feet in one swift motion.

"Already, my dear?" my mother asked.

"Yes, I'm afraid so, Mrs. Thompson." Angel said beautifully.

"Oh, please, Angel. Call me Jane, dear," my mother said happily.

"Yes, of course, Jane but we really should. We have a lot to get done today," Angel said flawlessly.

"Well, we will see you soon," my mother said, hugging her. "And you, Clayton, take care of her."

"Yes ma'am, always," I said as she hugged me and I wrapped my arm around Angel's waist and opened the door she stepped out and her wedged sandals clicked on the stone step. When we reached my car. I opened the door for her and just as she was about to step in, she looked into my eyes. I couldn't help contain my feelings and I kissed her. It was almost exactly like our first kiss at her school in the hall. This time I pinned her against the car, but this time she didn't fight it, not even for a second. It symbolized us accepting each other all over again as we entered a new part of our relationship. I was so lost in the moment that I didn't realize how much time had passed. She smiled on my lips.

"Can we make this next stop quick?" she asked me not moving from under my body.

"We can skip the next stop if you want. I think it would be for the best," I said earning a small giggle from her.

"I would love that, Mr. Alpha," she said as she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me as close as her stomach would let us get. Then she spun us around so that I was up against the car. I kissed her lips.

"Anything for you, Mrs. Luna," I said lifting her and setting her into the car and driving down the familiar road. After a moment of driving in silence, I grabbed her arm. "We can reschedule for tomorrow if want," I said sweetly.

"We'll see what we want to do tomorrow..." she said running her finger up my arm.

"I may have to pull over just so I can kiss you," I said.

"I wouldn't object," she said running her finger higher up my arm. I immediately pulled the car over and jumped out of my seat. I walked to her side and opened the door, I could hear her laughing, which only made my wolf want her even more. I unbuckled her seat belt and picked her up. I kissed her passionately and she returned it with equal intensity. I moved my lips down her neck and then dropped to my knees. We were both out of breath but I kissed her stomach and then looked up at her and smiled.

"Can we pause this and resume later?" she asked as she bent down to be my height.

"Yes, my love," I said as we got into the car and I raced home. She smiled the whole way home and the intensity of our love was radiating off of us. I was the luckiest man alive and I knew that anyone who saw us together could agree with that. I had met my mate who just so happened to be the most beautiful girl in the world and she was carrying the future alpha of our pack. She was an amazing luna and everyone loved her, especially me.
