His last word echoed in the room, and within a few seconds, before I could even comprehend what had just happened, Alex seized Raven by the collar and forcefully threw him to the ground.
My wrist felt like it was on the verge of fracturing under the sheer strength of his grip. My hand was wrenched away from Raven's grasp.
I stood frozen in place, as if glued to the floor, my eyes threatening to bulge out of their sockets.
With a few determined steps, Alex approached me and firmly grasped the hand that Raven had held before.
