GORDON’S POV.
It was a Wednesday morning, and just like in the previous days, I noticed Venus’s hesitation about going to work. She had been returning to bed early, and barely said a thing to my brother and I. It made me worried, as I wondered if she was still handling the aftermath of the rejection.
Maybe it was time we talked about it, and explained things to her. Or should we just let her be, till she is done processing all these things?
Regardless of what it was, the Venus I knew would never want to skip another day of work.
It was almost 10 o’ clock am, and she wasn’t down yet.
Yes, she doesn’t go to work with us. But we let one of our drivers take her every time. There was no way we were going to subject our precious mate and babies to any form of suffering.
