"Should we wait for Ace, or do you think he'll be able to catch up with us later?" Ava asked, adjusting a scarf around her neck to conceal my mark.
I despised that scarf, and I made a mental note to burn it once she was done hiding my mark.
"Ace can catch up later. Sage and I need some time alone," Kane insisted in the back of my mind.
I liked Kane's idea. It was nice to have some alone time with Ava whenever possible.
"Kane doesn't want to wait, and Ace already instructed everyone to clear out of the forest. There shouldn't be anyone else out there. We shouldn’t waste the opportunity," I replied, planting a kiss on Ava's cheek.
